I it is no longer possible to try to make believe that certain things that are killing our kids are not happening whether it's being victims of sexual abuse whether it's suffering from addiction whether it's mental illness these are issues that we must confront and accept that this is a problem the concept of saying it's not in my backyard no longer applies it's a lifetime of misery it's a lifetime of misery for generations it is a tragic tragic thing when somebody dies at such an early age but this tragedy didn't take place on that day this tragedy was years and years and years in the making I don't think people realize that when a child is abused it's a it's sometimes a death sentence but it's always a life sentence it's a struggle for life you
