I Never Thought I Could Stay Sober

I remember my roommate um was sharing with me [music] that he had a child in a different uh country and he hasn't seen him in 5 years and you know he was telling me this horror story and I just remember him going to sleep and me looking at [music] my daughter's picture and I'm like this will never happen here like >> I just want everyone in the world to [music] tell her that her dad tried everything and couldn't stay sober. I don't think I'll be able to stay sober. [music] I there's no way based on my story, based on how I used, based on everything like that sobriety [music] meant me. Also, I wasn't necessarily interested, as I said, in like >> becoming the guy that like went, [music] you know, I was told you go to meetings, you work the steps, you do this, you do that. And it's like, I'm willing to try it just cuz I [music] was willing to try almost everything to feel okay, right? >> Um, >> but I didn't I didn't think [music] it was ever going to be my story. Like if you would have asked me that, I would have been like, "Oh, I had a better chance of being like [music] in Ben Brock with [laughter] being a guy in that was [laughter] one day." Um, [music] yeah. With AI, we'll try and conjure up that image. That's great.
