a child within a family goes through something the other children in the family see what's going on and they see how it affects their parents they see how it affects the world around them and all the different things that the parents have to deal with and there's two ways that children can react to that either they say wow I don't want to do that to my parents you know and and therefore I'm going to run the opposite way and I'm gonna you know not demand any attention and I'm gonna stay completely under the radar and that's painful for a child in itself sometimes it goes the other way and they look at it and they say wow look at all the attention that my sibling is getting you know maybe I should get involved in something like that too and it's very scary and and when you have an organization like a mudim and they don't just focus on the individual that's going through the issue at the time you know they get involved with the entire family and they say listen whether it's therapy whether it's uh sending somebody in to uh to deal with the other siblings to explain to them what could be what's going on these are all you know collateral damage they get forgotten but it's very important that we have to focus on them too
