Addiction, Brother's Advice & California Treatment: My Story #shorts

I looked at my brother and I'm like, I can't live like I don't I'm not suicidal, but I don't I don't know what I'm going to [clears throat] like how am I going to wake up tomorrow and not do any Like how does that make sense? Um and he said to me, well, my buddy has 10 years sober. He went to California for treatment. You should go there. And and I did. I picked up my, you know, I was 21 years old and headed to this city where, you know, there's seven lanes on each highway and there's, you know, tons of just everything and you and I met the world in its eye, right? Um I didn't know that I would leave there and within 6 months meet my wife and get married and have a kid and um 4 years later end up back as that guy. I I I remember just sitting in my room in treatment crying every night just looking at a picture of my daughter being like, I don't know how I'm going to do this. >> Right.
