There is no one in the world that I
trust more with my children or with the
future of this community than Rabbi Eli
Cohen. Our goal is to create a school
that reflects the values and qualities
that have defined Mishkan Tora, a place
where children can grow in Torah, follow
in the footsteps of their parents, and
thrive in a nurturing, exceptional
environment. We are here tonight to
discuss
the most important job of our lives.
There is no more important job
than our [music] children, our families,
because they're everything to us.
They're our future. We all want more for
our children than we want for ourselves.
There's a barrage coming at us from all
sides. And we have to prepare our
children to raise them in a way where
they don't have the issues, where they
have the self-esteem, where they're
built with the right character, where
they're built with the right values,
where they understand right from wrong,
where they're not being shown mixed
messages because at home I'm watching
this and in school I'm hearing that.
It has to be consistent. but as a group
because you can't do it yourself. Today
you need a group to protect the
children. The tai we have in this room
the greatest parents [music] in the
world. Look at the people around you.
Proactive is better than reactive.
When you're small, you're able to work
with each child on their goals, on their
strengths, on their [music] weaknesses.
talent will be empowered because we'll
know where each child's talents lie. In
this school, everyone is heard. Every
child is a diamond. Every child is
unique. Every child
has to have the tools, the character,
and the work ethic to be able to
graduate and do whatever they want in
life. Tonight's about seeing an issue in
the world and saying, "How are we going
to do our best to give our community,
it's not a mishkan to school, it's for
everyone. How do we get this community
another option that gives them the
ability to protect their children?"
>> I am especially proud to announce that
Mrs. Aaron Bada will serve as our
preschool director. [applause]
You have to treat the kids [music] like
your own. And that's something that I
live by to this very day. Whenever I'm
in a classroom, I think of all my little
kids, my own kids. How would I want my
kid to be treated? What about my kid in
the corner over there? Who's talking to
them? How are they talking to them? Are
they talking down to them? Are they
making them feel good? I don't think
children can learn in a classroom that's
not warm and patient and loving. If
they're not in the right kind of hands,
they're not open to anything.
And um just to bring it a step further,
I see the same thing in [music] the sh.
And we just met the rabbi and his staff
members and I see the way he's warm and
accepting. The point is is that kids
enjoy themselves. They don't even know
that they're learning. They don't even
know that they're being taught. They're
having so much fun with their hands and
everything um that you know they're
building skills whether they know it or
not. It's amazing that I've met so many
parents along the way that you know
we're able to connect and bringing up
their child together. This is a
partnership. This is something that we
do together. [music] If there's anything
that you want to tell me, like I said,
I'm very easily accessible. We want you
to [music] see what your kids are doing.
We want you to see what your kids are
learning. We want you to be a part of
it. and I have nothing to hide.
We have a great program everywhere and
we're looking forward to working
together with you.
We will be
to change the world. To change the
world, the next generation to give them
a chance
to give them a chance to reach their
fullest potential.
