Well, there's no doubt that Hamas is definitely not friendly to Israel, but do you believe all Palestinians are somehow guilty of whatever Hamas's crimes are? >> Well, it's funny because certainly Israel and Jews worldwide are often, I'm not saying you're doing this, held accountable for the actions of the Israeli >> record, I'm definitely not. >> Totally not. But, I'm talking about the culture out there in which, you know, Israelis who are being harassed in restaurants and, you know, college campuses. >> That's terrible. >> It's a It's an interesting double standard. But, um yeah, I really just haven't seen >> Mhm. >> You know, I have seen a really strong, vocal left peace movement in Israel for decades and decades and decades. An anti-Netanyahu uh uh sentiment in the population. You see it all the time. You see it in the press. You said you have Israeli scholars who are hostile to their own state and they're and uh and want nothing >> had a member of unit 8200 on with me saying, you know, it ripping the policies and whatnot of Netanyahu. >> Right, right. And and you don't see that in the on the Palestinian side. I do not see, and maybe correct me if I'm wrong, point to me in the direction of a really strong, unified peace movement that seeks coexistence and uh uh acceptance of the Jewish state alongside a Palestinian state. I don't I haven't seen that since it's inception in '48, since Haj Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, rejecting whole cloth this idea of Jews on this sovereign Islamic land. It's an ideological, religious dispute for them. It's not a geographical one. I just don't see it. I think it's a wishful thinking. I think we buy into this delusion that there's a peaceful partner on the other side. There never really has been from you know, just me watching as a spectator and experiencing this and, you know, knowing a lot of this firsthand, I I haven't seen any of that. You don't see protests in the streets of Gaza calling for two states with Israel. Anyone who even attempted to do that would be, you know, killed as collaborators. But, they don't get held for some reason. There's a a soft bigotry of low expectations and no expectations are held on that side for any agency. They're completely absolved. Israel seems to be the only actor in the region. They're always, you know, it's always uh you know, Israel's enemies that are reacting to Zionist aggression, never the other way around. And I find it totally baffling.
