Honest Zohran Mamdani - A Message to Jewish New Yorkers

I want to speak directly to our Jewish New Yorkers. Now, your safety during these sacred days is of the utmost importance to our administration, and we will work tirelessly to ensure that you can pray and worship during these sacred days in safety and security. There will be an increased security presence outside all Jewish houses of worship and cultural centers. I want to speak directly to Israeli New Yorkers now and to the Israeli government and the people of Israel. Your security during these sacred days is of the least importance to me and my administration will work tirelessly to ensure that you are all less secure during these sacred days. While I won't use the term globalize the inifat because it's not politically expedient, I certainly still agree with what it stands for, but I won't use the term see what I [laughter] did there. My administration will continue to work hard to make sure that Israel is less secure, that Israelis are less secure, and that anyone who identifies as a Zionist is less secure. And if that designation applies to most Jewish New Yorkers who are Zionists and do support Israel or have a connection to it, well, what can I say? You're effed. But I'll close by saying anti-semitism has no place in our city, but it certainly has a place in the Middle East. And I'll continue to discourage it here and support it there.
