you're back to work on Monday I said no problem everything sounded fine up to now so far you got me November 18th 2006 I have the surgery in the morning I wake up but everything changed what changed my body changed I wake up screaming but now I don't stop screaming I scream from pain because the pain that I have is a type of pain that if you could just imagine it you probably can't imagine a dagger like they have in a Commando movies cutting up a person over and over again but it's also connected to electricity at the end at the same time and that's what I felt like was happening throughout my entire body so they started giving me painkillers started giving me morphine only problem is the morphine didn't work started giving me more and more and more and more eventually the doctor said we we gave him the most amount of morphine legally allowed they thought I was a drug user they asked my wife is he is a a drug user drug dealer drug something he never taken a drug in his life he says well his body's rejecting all medicine we're hoping this is going to eventually calm down eventually he did so now they release me from this nightmare I'm come I go home I have a sandwich everything is fine I'm a little shocked at what just happened for the last few hours because of the pain that I just had but I'm come everything is fine I'm on cloud nine so I tell everybody thank you very much for coming I'm going to sleep and I'll see you all tomorrow I go to sleep I wake up 45 minutes later only problem is that now I scream and I screamed for pain worse than I did when I came out of the surgery this time I don't stop I don't stop for 62 days for 62 days there's 24 hours a day worth of pain where nothing worked nothing worked for more than 15 minutes my body starts failing I start bleeding out of my eyes my ears and different other parts of my body my liver starts failing the doctor say he dying why we have no idea he had a simple hemorrhoid surgery this has nothing to do with anything else hemorrhoid is not the problem we we don't know what happened 62 days later my body somewhat calms down I only have to take about 30 or 40 pain kills a day instead of three or four times that I start coming back to my life you I think that okay I'm getting a second chance at life let's go back nine months later I get a pain in my leg the pain doesn't go away 24 hours later I'm going to hospital they tell me I have an infection that connects between two muscles I have to have an emergency surgery or I'm going to die I have a surgery because of this giant absis it's in my leg connecting to the rectal muscle and they say that you're going to have to be here in this hospital for at least two weeks in intensive care next to people that are dying because that's the situation that you're in so now I have a surgery second surgery is worse than the first but now I think it's over released from the hospital pain all that stuff that nice movie that we just played plays again go home six months later again surgery pain nightmare again Hospital go home three months later again surgery pain nightmare hell all the stuff that you guys don't want to read about in the Torah I lived it then a month later then another month later then it's every month and then I become to such an extent that I saw over $50 different doctors trying to diagnose the problem forget solving the problem diagnosing it because my body continue deteriorating eventually I couldn't walk I I was a 20 something year old kid with all the money in the world but I couldn't walk to go from here to the end of the house would take me somewhere in around 30 minutes the old 90y olds on Wall Street were looking at me like wow he's old what's wrong with him in pain 24 hours a day seven days a something and if you what why do I tell you the most important part of today is for you to learn because the learning is going to get you there if you just start doing with no reason without learning you just tomorrow you tell me listen from now on I'm keeping Shabbat without learning in two months from now you're not keeping Shabbat anymore in two months from now you're not keeping Shabbat anymore that's what happened to me when I was 17 I did I started keeping Shabbat from almost a year and a half I kept Shabbat I stopped learning two months later I stopped keeping Shabbat why the learning is what keeps you in the learning towards what keeps you in it's not going to be and praying every day that's good but it's not going to keep you in it's not going for the that's good it's just not going to keep you there it's not eating kosher it's good it's not gonna keep what's going to keep you there learning T that's why says it's better they leave me meaning him then leave my Torah why the Torah is the way back the to Torah is the instruction how to get back home it's better you learn every day than anything else so start committing by doing one thing 15 minutes a day minimum 15 minutes A Day No Way Around It 15 minutes a day of 15 minutes a day I you're going to be a big you start learning 15 minutes a day then a half hour a day then an hour a day in a couple years from now you're giving sh you got to start somewhere how old you 30 seven eight but I'm still confused about something no tell me I'm confused too go up until 2008 you believe in nothing you did nothing you nothing okay I believe in something it's just not the right thing you believe like I believe okay uh what changed although although no what changed you already told us more or less what change gave you in what I'm confused about this you know and you've been doing this already what you're doing now or at least 2 three years four years yeah four years so you had all this learning you more than me some of them do obviously and most of them do but the point is that some people like my sh they like my strategy they like the way I do it but point is there a certain amount of knowledge that it doesn't make sense it doesn't make sense that someone that was a Shabbat not too long ago is giving sh no no someone didn't know anything know they give me an it doesn't make any sense no no it's not that it's a it's an enormous amount of knowledge so for example for I give you I give you an example on uh the recent that we uh um uh sh we uh what's called we were up all night we up all night right it's it's a mitvah to learn all night now what most people do is they read a book and they try to stay up all night what we did is we gave an eight and a half hour lecture eight and a half hours I spoke for eight and a half hours questions and answers similar to this and even a little bit more for eight and a half hours now people that have been giving lectures for many years we're a little off we're still CH changing you today point is for eight and a half hours how could speak brand new stuff over and over again for eight and a half hours how can you speak for so long so there's something called meaning that hasm helps you now in the beginning of the there's a blessing that you do when before you learn you say something that's actually in the page 28 it says meaning gives you knowledge why does he give you knowledge it gives you knowledge if you're using it the right way now for example if you're running a company add a company and I would give people certain amount of uh privileges so if let's say for example someone's a really good guy he's a really he's a good producer I'd give him 20 customers why he's good if he's even better I'll give him 30 customers to go manage their money why because the better he is the more I give him now he could achieve some on his own he can get five or 10 on his own but now because he did really well with his I'm going to give him another 30 in essence the same concept holds here if you try really hard you're doing the will of hem to the best of your ability you're trying to learn as much as you can you're not hanging out with the guys you're learning to lie instead you're not wasting time you're learning you're doing whatever you can Hashem can give you a lot more than you learn meaning when you're learning secular knowledge which I learned a lot of in my past life if you learn an hour of math you get an hour of knowledge an hour of knowledge about math if you learn an hour of knowledge about English it's an hour of knowledge of English if you learn an hour of History it's an hour of knowledge of history now what told what is telling you is that if you deserve it you can learn an hour of Torah an actual hour of Torah but hasem can give you seven hours worth of knowledge a a year worth of knowledge uh you know 10 years worth of knowledge why because you're using it the right way because you deserve it for whatever reason or another the point is that I don't learn to just for my own pleasure only even though it's extremely pleasurable It's amazing And if it was up to me I'd sit in a cave just learning to don't bother me ever again but the reality is the only reason I learn as much as I do is because I want to help people like you because the tah says also you're supposed to learn to do when I see my brothers and sisters don't have a clue like me it's terrible so if I can tell them something hey guys there's a train coming get out of the way and I can use some Torah for it it helps
