Okay.
So, we bring we begin safer for Yikra,
which is called called in rabbinic
literature as Terrus K'yanin.
The
halachus of K'yanin, the halachus of
Korbanus.
And
many people have the minig of saying
Korbanus in the morning,
which is a very very nice minig, edible
minig.
But, even people don't say Korbanus in
the morning,
Shulchan Aruch says that they should say
at least
the parshas hatamid,
which is actually in parshas Pinchas.
Vayedaber Hashem el Moshe lemor,
tzav es bnei Yisrael ve'amarta aleihem
es korbani lahmili
shai re'ah tichli tishmeru li
latishrakh tishmeru lahavi li b'moado.
Which is the mitzvah of bringing the
shnei temidim, the the Korban tamid,
once in the morning and once in twice in
the afternoon.
And there is the we it's it's about
eight psukim long, and a person should
really make a make a point of saying
that even if he doesn't say
>> [snorts]
>> all the Korbanus.
>> [clears throat]
>> The last pasuk of parshas Korbanus is of
parshas tamid is vesachkem as hasheini
tasu bein ha'arbaim. The second the
second Korban you should do towards
evening, keminkhas haboker ulesolasa
yishak Hashem.
And that is the end of parshas hatamid.
What is ironic is that in the siddur
it's written, and this is how we pasken,
that you should add another pasuk which
has nothing to do with Korban tamid, and
that is actually a pasuk in our parsha,
parshas Vayikra,
perek pasuk
veshakhat al hayerekh hamizbe'ah
tzafonah lifnei Hashem uze'aru kohen ben
Aharon hakohanim es hadam al hamizbe'ah
saviv.
Which means you should shecht the Korban
referring to many their Korbanus al
yerekh hamizbe'ah tzafonah on the
northern side of the mizbe'ah. Uze'aru
kohen ben Aharon es hadam al hamizbe'ah
saviv.
The question is why what is that have to
do with the parshas hatamid?
This is a pasuk in parshas Vayikra
that's not referring to Korban tamid at
all, it's referring to general Korbanus,
chatas, olah, asham, that are all
shechted on the northern side of the
mizbe'ah. Why add it over there?
So,
Sefer HaZohar say in in in in Vayikra
Rabbah,
uvikhol kakh lamah,
why is that pasuk there?
Shebeisha'ah sheYisrael makrivin tamid
al gabbei hamizbe'ah,
because when Klal Yisrael would bring
the Korban tamid on the mizbe'ah,
vikeres hamikdash hazeh,
tzafonah lifnei Hashem,
when they would add this pasuk, when
they actually bring the Korban tamid,
and they would add this pasuk of
veshakhat al yerekh hamizbe'ah tzafonah,
says the Medrash, vikeres hamikdash
hazeh, tzafonah lifnei Hashem,
zaycher Hakadosh Baruch Hu akeidas
Yitzchak.
Because when you say this pasuk, Ribono
shel Olam is reminded of akeidas
Yitzchak that Avraham Avinu did to
Yitzchak.
And then the Medrash says,
me'idani alai es hashamayim ve'es
ha'aretz,
that Kaveyakhlei Ribono shel Olam says,
I bring witnesses, the heaven and the
earth,
that bein goi bein Yisrael, whether it's
a non-Jew or Jew, bein ish bein ishah,
man or woman, bein eved bein bein omah,
bein o, whether it's a slave, etc. etc.,
you when they read this pasuk, vikeres
hamikdash hazeh, tzafonah lifnei Hashem,
zaycher Hakadosh Baruch Hu akeidas
Yitzchak, shene'emar, tzafonah lifnei
Hashem.
That's why we add that pasuk.
Because Ribono shel Olam says this pasuk
is so important that no matter who says
this pasuk, when they brought the Korban
tamid, Ribono shel Olam remembers
akeidas Yitzchak.
And that's why we add this pasuk as to
remind Ribono shel Olam of akeidas
Yitzchak, which just really furthers the
question.
What does this pasuk
have to do
with akeidas Yitzchak?
That pasuk has nothing to do with
akeidas Yitzchak. Why is it there?
So,
the answer is the Maharal Diskin, Rabbi
Say, zichrono letzaddik livrakha,
says a very interesting thing.
He says, we know that when Avraham Avinu
took Yitzchak up to Har Hamoriah to go
ahead and to perform the akeidas
Yitzchak, which was supposed to meant
the the actual sacrificing of Yitzchak,
so, Avraham Avinu put him on top of the
mizbe'ah.
Because up until that point, that is
where you would bring a Korban. You put
the Korban on top of the mizbe'ah.
Yitzchak was afraid
that out of fear he would go ahead and
he'd move, and maybe he would passel the
Korban. So, therefore, Yitzchak wanted
akeidas Yitzchak, he should be bound
to the mizbe'ah with ropes,
so that he wouldn't be able to move and
inadvertently passel the Korban.
So, Avraham Avinu did that, that's why
it's called akeidas Yitzchak, the
binding of Yitzchak.
Avraham Avinu is about to go to the
shechtim. Malakh comes down min
hashamayim and says, al tishlakh yadkha
el hana'ar, don't do it,
because you passed the test. He Ribono
shel Olam sees how devoted you are, you
were ready to sacrifice
your beloved son.
So, at that point in time, one would
think
that Yitzchak Avraham said to Yitzchak,
"Oh, baruch Hashem,
he stopped it, now let's go home."
But, that's not what happened.
What did Avraham Avinu do?
He was he went and he looked for
something to sacrifice on the mizbe'ah.
Because he was told to go ahead and to
bring a Korban.
So, now that it's not going to be
Yitzchak, but Avraham Avinu still wants
to bring a Korban.
So, he goes ahead
and he finds a ram, we all know that,
that was entangled in the brush over
there.
He goes ahead and takes the ram. Now,
what should he do? Unbind Yitzchak, get
him off the mizbe'ah,
and put the ram on the mizbe'ah.
But, Avraham Avinu wasn't sure that the
that the ram didn't have a mum or any
type of blemish.
So, he left Yitzchak on top of the
mizbe'ah, and he and he and he shechted
that
ram
on the north side of the mizbe'ah.
And from that time on, as anyone who's
learning maseches Zevachim and Menachos
now knows, that many Korbanus are
brought on the right side of the on the
north side of the mizbe'ah.
And that is why that pasuk
of
veshakhat al el yerek hamizbe'ah
tzafonah reminds Ribono shel Olam
Kaveyakhlei
of
akeidas Yitzchak. And Ribono shel Olam
says,
that when any who says that, Jew,
non-Jew, anybody says that, I am
reminded of akeidas Yitzchak and I have
rachamim on Klal Yisrael. And that is
why that pasuk from parshas Vayikra is
added to the
parshas hatamid, because we would remind
Ribono shel Olam of the mesirus nefesh
of both Avraham and Yitzchak at akeidas
Yitzchak.
Okay.
