[Music] Welcome back to another episode on Kanyevski. We've taken a break, but we're back. And this promises to be a fascinating episode on the arguably the most popular safer or the most learned safer that Kany published. I'm sure we'll talk about this a little bit more, but this is a safer which is easily accessible on so many levels to so many people. It's been published by Art Scroll in English. A wonderful job by them. And once again, this episode has been sponsored anonymously in memory of Benali. And it's Friday. It's right before Shabas. It is the eve or post um the Israeli attacks on Iran and is here. He's in his shelter with his farm. We're very grateful for taking the time to record this and it should be and for all of Claudius for all those on the front lines those fighting the ones who are initial around the world. Rabbi Dr. Brat Shalom. Okay. So we're gonna talk about the safer. So is printed approximately in 1997. Now the pro the reason I can't say for sure is because it's very hard to find the first edition of this work and it was instant I remember when it came out it was a leap year and it sold out instantly. I heard in when I was in I was in America at the time at learning yeshiva I remember it sold out with either 24 hours 48 hour or 48 hours. Now this is before social media. This is before the internet. All these things they say for instantly people grabbed it. It was printed again and again many times with so let's say I can't tell you the exact date is cuz mine is like it says the 12th edition. So it was a leap year and we already discussed didky really write a safer because it was the leap year or not. Is it that was the reason why he wrote the safer that year? Bottom line is became popular instantly and remained popular until today. There's many editions of the safer. There's additions that have burum and Hebrew fancy to be mafarish all different things in the safer. There's a fancy art scroll edition. I did not see it but I heard um talking to someone last week. He told me it's incredible. They did an excellent job um putting together all different things relating to the safer from other stuff stories of his is Rebbitson and everything like that. Now I did not check and see what art scroll claims or what other people say about the safer. is my um readings of the safer and um so I fully take responsibility I say it could be many other people have different ways of looking at the safer now what is the safer that's the first question is it a musafer is ashkafer so if you look right away can ask you said this many times he is he says a lot of times things about his safer for example the which he wrote he says it's a collection from to give in these areas. Okay, there's something like 30. Now he then has he says he first he brings down four things. What are they? And Rashi says he brings down Rashi. So that's the first thing that he sets out of then he says to beam. So already in the first episode of Kvki I claimed that he's influenced from many people but four people in particular and these four people were the and his father. All four of these people wrote such the GR um one of his first actually publishes the GR Mish um definitely a work that has materials relating to Muser people or to the wrote many in which some will mention from later on today besides for the we were to that we had after he was nif but we have also and then his father he wrote a so that's the first thing then he says then adds not every d is the sameness now this is a very important sentence and a lot can be read into it but I think that's a very valid reason why you need all these different things there's different number three how does he know what are everyone knows this is the thing everyone spoke to ask you from day one he was completely absorbed in learning never read a newspaper never was anywhere he didn't know anything going on no he got he knew what was going on because he got hundreds of thousands of questions in all areas the lines are out the door to him so he picked up what the are what the problems are of this particular generation from that we'll see some of the different things and he talks about the amazing advice that he gives in So he set out then he says of course I'm not so but he says okay um why he could still anyway do it. Okay so this is a short um which gives us already some insight into the safer. Now to be clear, one of the first farm which you already spoke about back in season one was his which is also a somewhat possible Musra and we discussed it was and certainly yes it's learned during and over there went all out um finishing it in the when in his low 20s and already demonstrating the year his crazy yeda and kakula so there also it's some type of musa but there it's different he's just writing per he's writing a parish or burim for the existing cafer. Here he's saying himself he's picking a topic and then he goes through the topic. So it has 30 chapters. So the question was why did he pick these 30 chapters? So he already answered it pretty much. He said these are the things that go on. So they asked him why he write more. So again we've quoted many times the says what you can't just write. It was some type of thing that he felt Hashem told him to write gave him the told him whatever and we'll see maybe this might relate to a chapter which he has over here about Kaidesh and where he defines what Kadesh is a different time he said they asked him again probably asked him a million times about it like everything else they asked him they asked him on everything but he said I need to have time to write my which was a which sadly we only got a small part of that and I have to answer 80 letters a Hey, at least so we get our own busy. So this is what I um wrote and that's it. Lisa um it seems according to some he wrote a paric a day because it took very fast when when they told him it's such a great safer so he says I don't know what nothing in here is mine it's all from okay when you go through the safer you could see um um they bring from other people there's a certain in the safer and um there's a certain in the safer and Even though but he made it he played it down fine. Um two other points one is that the money for the the profits of this safer he he made he was this should go for similar to whereab that he had from his father. His father was also all the monies went to Sudaka. Another thing was is at the end of this safer chapter 30 is all about tons of different things about fel in general and then he has um about 46 I think different on Hagus alus um that one has to be in all areas of so this was actually published earlier in a contress called which was published by his son-in-law but there it didn't say the name it was published a few years before like three four years before and it for some reason he didn't want his name out then that it was him but later on it was put into here and I guess he allowed them he I mean he was the one to publish it so he I guess it came out that that he was the author of the earlier work which is interesting because in general all the works as far as we know he wrote his name on now one last story um that they say so as I said I remember this also is that basically the safer was a bestseller immediately um here it said thousands of copies in the safe it says thousands of copies are sold in a month and again and And the kids he was right at this time he was hospitalized. He was very sick. So they say here said it was on the amazing of the safer. So they told this to the senses said how could that be? The kaz said and there's no eye in har. Um so the but the the rebbitson she said in the hospital which is not in bra you need a rafua so she he was masked to have his brother-in-law Falavin son of Rabbar Lavina who was very legendary famous to removing iron haras and they had iron removed from him possibly because of the great success of this safer. So these are some of the pitchkas that they throw out in the safar and from there pretty much in many the other they take it sometimes attributing and sometimes not and one other thing is they they bring a story I'm not going to go into but the story is to the fact that um there was in the time of the and it seems this person was in learning he was a machir everything unbelievable and he goes up to after may have him and um Mikitzer he saw that since he was not in the same dar as his fellow of the city the schlaw and the reason turns out was because wrote mafer and this person never wrote muser so they say so the safer so he felt he also has to write a mus cafer okay this is what they bring down from that maybe told them some type of messiah about this is also quoted in different um of the works on kski anyway Okay. So bottom line is what is there anything more to say about um this cifer? So first of all what is his sources? So I keep on saying he says himself the sources are from so we see here his crazy he inula and when we talk about does not mean you know just it means all madrashim it means it means it means which we we'll get to in one of the episodes used this this a lot that was published from a university press he quotes um in in this work and then a lot of Rambam throughout the works of the Rambam in Yam he pulls through pulls out and you'll find here and there pieces of the he's also very fond of okay but in all the chapters you could usually find that he's a few different things so first to mention briefly some cafer one chapter is about um he talks about so he says it's a terrible he brings you a bunch of kazals from everywhere all different and then he says the f he asked the famous question why is it that there's the par why is the way spend so much time why what's the great tya of talking smooing and everything like that so he brings based on a that the because the mitzvah is so great so and there's So a lot of times you find that the the the and is so great and that's what makes it that there's such a tya to speak this is based on a and now then um which I said also he's very we mentioned numerous times of he's very fond of the but then he asks a famous question um how do not he not ask he tries to find a solution how does one um save himself from Tyra. So he says basically hero um it's a it's a battle but you got to you can't let the the is always going to find exclusive roots and reasons to from you and you have to fight the then he says a fascinating words he says once you um fight it and you're aware of all this then it's not such a big deal mean to say he he's taking an approach which is a deal amongst different people that the some people say that the is more powerful than anyone. His approach is that once you get used to it and you you you're able to overcome it, there is a he's not saying there's no but it's it's it's less that he's bringing this down. So this is an interesting if you go with this at least this approach of then he says but what's [Music] the what is the amount of you know it's all these things how much ever so he brings down interestingly from the that together is if you speak more than 10 minutes furthermore he brings down interesting hakda from the base iron from vulcan that heard had a mess that yes You're allowed to speak a little. The point is not to speak a lot and it's sometimes it's important to speak. If you're just going to learn the whole time, it could end up having an opposite effect. Okay. So, it's interesting here. You have at least so you have a head to 10 minutes is how and how often is it per hour? Obviously not. Is it in a day? Is it that he doesn't specify it could be I would imagine that maybe some people answer Kyki. Many people might have asked how can ask when we get the when they put out the volume of maybe over there they'll have exact of the sh that people asked of how long is um this is it say anyway but the point is these are some fascinating um um practical makudis in that he brings down then he has a chapter all about davus so okay everyone knows he start out with a mission novice and he brings all different kazals and it's fascinating when you read this chapter you could see that he probably struggling. He on one hand he wanted to talk about but even when he was bringing down every that he was bringing down a quote from a gamar right away he's like there's a that has a different gear and then he's reading to he has a problem with there's a maybe a problem of ribbus in this gamar there's another problem of like he couldn't shut down his mind at the same time while he's learning this text he's bringing it for muser purposes to inspire etc okay another chapter which is a chapter um zizus So there also he has he brings the importance of reasons and um from from many different uh mus. And of course here he ends off this chapter with the and that they were that um he says that he knew of they was reason but that whatever they had to do they would do right away and others. And then he then he brings down even a discussion if someone pushes off something and he writes his very his point is of this chapter is concept of and he brings down from all different and other fine now um so fine you could go through each one of the chapters in the safer and um see different things. Now what's interesting is is that on one hand he says that it's but you see in certain chapters there's an element of a certain type of um that he wrote were things that were bothering him that he saw that based on what he says already in the from the things that from looking at people as we're going to mention shortly or hearing what people asked about. Now he got this messiah already from the earlier musam that I said's father. So the one chapter which we spoke about back in one of the episodes is a chapter where the where the stipler comes out in the chapter all about shabas against. So there was a of other things besides of the problems that of the generation that the stipler talks about but there was like a sort of a piece that he left in even also is without getting into the has to do with his take on Muser what he held about Muser he was anti-certain accudis in Muser and there's a certain element some of the chapters has a certain level of canois Knega what he felt is not authentic um is not authentic enough. So Kaim Kfski got this type of messiah. So some of the chapters you could sense such a type of thing. I'm going to mention just a few of them. So one chapter he has he it's called so he talks about he says you have to go to the mikvah and he brings down different sources and then what does he do? He brings you down from all these people talking about pro that the great of and not only that he ends he says a fascinating thing that many did not were not from titling and then he says I saw But then he says, "What about chabas?" And there he talks about and there you see his lit and that he brings out about talking about the and what his father's unhagger was how to do it if he could do it that he also talks about. But the point is that here you have a chapter which which you see that he's saying and he's saying fascinating things and he's using not your typical he's going with a I guess a cabalistic Messiah um over here that it is a tremendous Indian and and this were accepted to and clas you see it's known that that was what was that these were yidden that were on okay so if I just saw such a chapter I'd say Okay, maybe one time but you see it again and again. I'm just going to mention a few other examples. So he talks about and this chapter is again he quotes various myrus about the importance of sneer. He has some kazal and then he then again some zars he throws in and then he refers you to women that they have to be two orangutan and they're getting dressed up again from. So you see again over here um an element that he saw um he saw he was aware of um this is what people were not in we're talking about our generation sne is a problem okay another chapter is about kima jealousy so again this is you do the kamida which already the talk about and the and the so he brings that down and then all of a sudden he talks about different cases of kino know when is it? So we know is a thing he talks about that well what's it going on fine but that's that's a different and then he starts talking the the rest of the chapter is very sharp he says many people in our generation they spend without they see other people spend it they feel they have to spend it and they get into major and they have to sell their house so they travel to and it gets worse and worse Um now he blames it on in part women whatever they see by their husband they by their um spouses. Okay, this is a this today um when one listens to all different speeches of all different you see that men are definitely in this plenty also but he refers you to that talks about you know if you should make sure to spend money what about the rest of the week you should make sure not to um talking and they just spend honey like crazy and that's we're talking about before World War II he also blames it on the women and then refers you to a conscious of his called where he's about this so here interestingly enough the so after bringing down this tells you to various letters of the lashel not to borrow says not to borrow money from people um because it ends up causing lots of problems and then he tells about about these things. Now obviously some people when they hear this they're going to say this there's obviously clashes with others on hugus of of our generation um but this is what he says over here clearly black and white um and probably because of the feedback this is what he says again back in Agdama from what he was able to see people were claim complaining to him they don't have money etc etc now there's one chapter another chapter this is a um a known chapter a known sheet of his it's called pedic hagras panim So here this is a very sharp chapter very very sharp. Um he begins with about shaving. So he first he says as follows very sharp sentence only in recent times. Then he brings down that is bring and then he has other mus and then basically his approach through this per is through of his father and including the he shows that it's user gummer to shave and he must have a beard. So he brings down and not only and even the shavers. So he quotes you is very against it. um um he has over here and these these shavers that they're not they're not good also was very against it. Not only that he's had wrote a whole called ferris where he says shaving is very problematic and is using over there a lot were very very anti-shaving. Now he also brings other quotes to the Khaz with the claiming it's um learn from the Gim and and and he says that he quotes a powerful sentence from his father when a person will come into him with a chup or with um someone that shaved he said that he wanted to throw up is what the stiper said. He also he says his father was not pro putting the pis behind the ears. So it sounds like you're being you're embarrassed from the mitzvah. The kitser this is a very very vicious um chapter where he comes out very strongly and he'sing it based on the um as I said his his heroes the the stipler and the mishnaber and and over here he's quoting you the mishnaber in various places and his country. Now there it's clear over here even the tut this long this beautiful he brings from it's influence of cabala over here. Okay. Now interestingly enough this quote I said that the the stipler was very that he was so nauseated when people would not have a beard. So also from the same base medish also it's brought down a similar type of quote and um okay now What's interesting is this was a thing that seemed to be very bothersome to the wrote many and not all the are as popular. So one of his is and in Israel he also has against shaving and talking about it and this was a when you didn't want to go back to go live in America. So he wrote a whole about how to different things that you know the stuff and this is one and he very mir similarly he had he wrote a he wrote a safer um this is it's a known safer but not really used is for soldiers also over there he's very m about shaving trying that you should try to avoid it as much as possible point is that it comes out very strong not to shave not to and you have to have a beard Now, interestingly enough, the this is a huge huge topic and we're not claiming in this episode to discuss it just to mention one um one or two marus about it and then to move on. No, it's interesting is that one of the great mubalum that we had throughout our generations was a yid rabar raman zaryano. He's born in 1548 and dies in 1620. He's one the raami panu one of the great makubalim he was influenced from the of that he was a was successfully able to get also and besides for the conversation of shaving there's also kabala and which is what is bringing and this is what is quoting so some wanted to bring proof that the api kabala there's no problem to shave and that was based on an haga claiming that the raman pano shaved There was a chuv bik he claimed he was he was someone that was a talm of the son-in-law of the raam pano he says that he shaved the she seem to have trust this claim others say that there's a picture of the raam pano with a beard this is old um um discussion a lot has been written about it okay in 1903 a b biography on the raami pano came out very nice biography and this biography even has a from Dumplky the bala and at the end he has a whole chapter we have to discuss he says what's the story about pano did he shave or not so he discusses it and lo biker a few years earlier David calfman do calfman printed in a French journal I believe it was in 1899 a picture showing that the rami pano had a beard but what's going on the very s there very su So it's always it's always a problem when you find a picture from 300 years later. How much could you rely on it? Who said it really is the picture? Or maybe at different times he changed his mind. It's also possible. Not only that, anyone who knows that the Rami pano he revised his whole world of Cabala after he got heami pan before he got to then afterwards. So maybe this affected. I have no idea. This is way above my pay grade. But anyway, the point is that was willing to accept that he passively shaved. And so the part of the discussion is is if you have an of what of mubalum from Italian they did shave. Okay. As I said, we're not going into um Elliot Huritz has a various articles about this where he discusses it in da which also we're not going to go into the it appears amongst the many titus that people had on him which are also not a fascinating topic maybe one day to go into was that he shaved and he was a makub okay he was also from Italy. Now just to um one last nakuda what two last about this is number one a highly interesting safer to put it mildly started coming out back um 2013 called Misha from so it have various including from who equates it to the um the autobiography of of okay because he says it's and discussions over here of Mosa was mal about shaving and does one have to have a beard and there there's a lot to talk about it the point is in this volume one of this cafer there's four page discussion of the handling the of it incredible incredible language or says he's grat also handling this raami pano he's also handling the the kuda of cabala what the messiah was and he says that people always shaved. He he comes out um that many people that it's not just the Raami P that might have shaved. many people shaved um and this is a obviously a conversation that needs a lot of um but just as it's Friday time is short anyway it's not the main point of the episode is just to show there's a different approach now already in the my justification of quoting this is because in the someone asked something he says I'm not someone to argue I'm not about to argue on so it's that there is at least for Some people today including myself lenu I don't have a beard and that I was told actually some people don't listen to my episode because I don't have a beard okay it happens but anyway of is in those pages it's fascinating to see what he talks about okay now what in a book called letters from mir which is written uh wrote back letters to his parents in the 1930s in the mir it's clear that many shaved and that and what's his name also talks about the meaning of it It was definitely clear that before World War II many of them okay we say now is there any other in this fascinating so time is short so we'll just mention a few more briefly number one so of course we're going to find in this safer material about so he he so first of all a excellent um again doesn't mean but an excellent chapter and he says he begins the People come again this is clear this is what people were coming to complaint him were asking for that it's not going easy no learning he says it doesn't come easy it's only end of discussion so first you see this was a question now you want to be there's no shortcuts then he says a fascinating thing which many Bali Muslims say And people testify to be true. And I think there's um in my own experience there's also truth to this. It wasn't and then he brings from his father also about this. So you see any um um some fascinating information that he says about this concept of then he says which he doesn't say often. So this safer um what's his name? This Yeshua was written by the great Gabisha Heler, a great Palm Muser but also a tremendous literatur of the famous Heler. And he was a Talmud by the M the Davidi. He has in the cafer to this incredible safer Yeshua where he says um you he talks about his relationship with this and and this is and he gets this beautiful from him about the safer and and it's I could testify this is a a fascinating fascinating safer well worth to learn it's not a light read in general this farmer I highly recommend them and it's interesting this is the stipler it's in the back in the in the beginning of the second volume he recommends force farm to learn. One of those force farm is a different safer of Yeshua Heler which is also um I could testify I agree with the stipler over here not that he needs but it's called a fascinating safer um he also recommends the Yeshua and the Yeshua. So also the stipler was into this part. So that's this is another practical chapter of we could see what's going on things that he was asked. Okay. Now then here's a a chapter I would say this is probably a famous chapter of raki very controversial especially in recent years um this discussion and we're just going to mention a few brief um topics that are found in this chapter but first this chapter is called is chapter so chapter is called okay so in this chapter mish I hold is kadai to learn carefully you're a parent and even if you're not a parent it's kadai to learn before because as they Okay, as we're about to say over here, he talks about there's a there's a question out a lot of ink has been spilled. Who's responsible for the children? Is it the school or the parents? So Sovi already he's and says that the point is that the the house has unbelievable hashbah on the of the children. So number one I'd like to mention over here on this major makum that's kadai to read and learn carefully falh in um it was published se you could buy it separately but there's the collected writings of falh volume I think it's seven is about of of educ of and how to educate in those volume in that volume of education there's an incredible chapter a few chapters where he talks about when does begin so he says it's not when he goes to school, it's right when the kid is born and he how he talks about it and it's so current even what he says. It's amazing how he was able to um first it's the translation into English. I mean I didn't read the German but the English is beautifully tra I think it's very accurate um but it's written very well and how he puts it down and the importance that a parent must understand the begins early on and it's to read what writes over there and to keep in mind when you see this is one very big another thing is that talks about is people sometimes have a kid that's very gifted so they praise him a lot he says no this is not good even though you mean good, but it gives the kid GAVA and later on it could come and backfire. Okay, this is also a very important piece of advice and he writes it out um he writes it out beautifully about praising a kid too much. Then he says people ask this is a question I know many people ask is when do you start ding for a kid? He says you have to ding for the kid all the time. They should be another he talks about is when do you should start learning. So he says ready at the age of seven his father was mi people to learn with their children even five minutes a day is he says such as our so these are to so speak things read to see how he puts it down but then earlier on in this chapter I would say this is probably one of the most quoted chapters of his he talks about a question which is may one or should one hit a child. So here begins the chapter You can't touch a child. They should figure it out themselves, but and certainly not to smack them. He didn't say he doesn't say to beat them. Not that you shouldn't punish them at all. And then he brings down obviously the famous tell me took him a mish etc etc. So he comes out that you should smack your child when necessary. Not only that um um he brings some other he discusses it over here. Mame he has three four pages about it. He says not to beat and not to do how to do it. But the point is that you see um and even a teacher it sounds like he holds yes there there is such a thing of punishing the student but um again he's not encouraging um mameish beating the living daylights out of the children but and he shows it in even which again goes back to our theme of also playing on him. So now the point is that this chapter um some people disagree with it and say okay maybe held like that maybe this was in the 1990s when the came today okay now obviously I'm not an educator I'm not a pisk I'm not a rabbi so I'm not taking any opinion um I am off the hook I don't have to I'm not taking any um I'm not saying anything what's a over here just interesting some very quickly three four on this topic Number one is let's say educating in children we find um hagra okay so this is always this is fascinating it's a it's it's even known piece of the of the hagra the gro wrote when he went to Israel which ended up he ended up not going in the end but he wrote to his wife a whole fascinating um letter go through so then he talks about um certain things that you have to to hit them mamish if they're if they um curse if they swear they have to hit the children. Okay. So now what's interesting is like this right away can't be that he says such a thing and not only that but so some people say you have to take out that gear in the letters but research has shown that in the earlier versions of the ear many of the earliest versions including what was in front of rece and others the wasarius Now lamashand there's a addition of the garisra from my friend ra common reddish. So he brings you down various gras in pl in other places where he talks about it um that you do have to hit your child um to teach him your hashem and everything but obviously there is hagdaras not to beat the living daylights out of him etc. Kadai to see all the different pieces inside of the Gro talks about it and how talks about it how he brings it out from the different places to see what it is exactly that he's what he's pro but even who also we've mentioned in the past from the influence from the so he also says in in he has in he talks about and he says he says But he says though you have to do it moderately fine now and even though but so there has to be some moderation in it but the point is from the seems to be the consensus of various people is that one is able to hit their child that's what Um mentioned Ravuli um Lashel in his letters he has a whole chapter uh he has a whole letter about punishing children and he says um he seems to not be pro today and this is in 19 this letter was written in 1988 not punishing the child um with physical things. Okay. So you have to obviously as a parent you have to ask your the people that you're your the people that you're mi with but the point is says at least on some level it has to what was done throughout the generations. So okay besides the GR do we have any earlier sources? So we have plenty of sources that they hit besides obviously Mish just throughout one about this is there was a published in Yiddish that was very very popular called Mitsum. This was written by the great masses Talmud of the Ram and the Marshall. He wrote a safer in Yiddish for women on hillid over there. He talks about that the women have to make sure when that they shouldn't have on their children when they see um them doing something wrong and they should make sure at times they need to smack them and if you don't smack them this is this muser and he throws out this. So this isn't a now recently this was translated into Hebrew. At one point it was translated into English by um professor from but anyway the point is this was this is a work a tremendous work early on and we could bring many about it but we're not going to that's not the point of this is just to give us a little sampling. Okay, now just to conclude with one with a few last very brief points as time is late over here on my end and like this the last chapter is a chapter all about file I mentioned it was published earlier this is a um a friend of mine Ben Ginsburg he told me that he recommended he he had tidum they weren't sure they were having difficulties with file so he told them learn carefully the chapter on file and They came back reporting that it had an unbelievable effect. You have to learn it very carefully. The first part of the chapter is is fascinating material how he weaves in all different things and other things and he takes some strong stance on certain issues. He's very proit and um other aspects. It's it's a very very nice chapter to go through. And then he has sometimes because they don't know and whatever. And each one of those um 46 that he has are very important to look into. They're based a lot on the Mishna Bura. Okay, fine. That's one um famous chapter of the thing. I think as a matter of fact, I think someone even wrote a just on that chapter explaining it, handling it. Um they came out maybe after he was nifa. Okay. He has a chapter called mitzvah after. So here um he tells Sue a bunch of mccaris about it. um in the world they're very fond of this you know oh they don't know anything about that you know just do a mitz because told you but okay he brings you the famous that talks about it he has some other interesting mus and then he says a whole nuda a different nuda in the concept of mitzvah to be misar to do mitzvah you try should be mim as many of mitzvah that you could do and he tells you from the and he says also on his father that he would try to do as many mitzvah as he could he says He saw his father um that he should be with and if you look in the pictures in the various picture books you see they always brought him he's also tried to do this and which goes back to my theme again and again these were important highlights these people but he also talks about more about this bringing a fascinating long piece from Vital about behind this okay Now there's one last decide in the safer that um we will conclude with this very briefly and that is as follows throughout the safer there are many chapters where the emphasis is and the all different aspects of which which play out with the greatness of the respect one has to give he has a chapter called now this is actually the stipler also has in his farm and the and the also has the greatness of that everything they were able to see in the they got it through the now interestingly enough I'm just going to mention right now he does not he says that the they learned to they knew a lot and he brings you many um different that all that they knew was through the tyra means they various science and different they learned knew through the tyra so fascinating is I would think that punk this chapter which in many other chapters that he does he says which has a whole chapter so I would think he would end off the chapter and with he doesn't um which is we'll we'll discuss this more in a different episode um with about this but he has a chapter which is called um also going with this of where he talks about these type And throughout he has a chapter which is called seeing the greatness of that you have to listen to with some fascinating stories that he um from the and other makers and throughout the book you see that in the beginning I mentioned oh you know he read he quotes all he he he um he read books and that's why in the chapter which I already mentioned earlier about um he he says say he read these books and throughout his writings in this he sprinkles it with not only from that he knew firsthand from his father and from different like that now so it's basically mean what I'm trying to get at is it's an important point for him a theme in various of the chapters the greatness of of etc so this is a fascinating chapter and with this I conclude is it's the chapter about so so in this chapter imamish talks about again I recommend reading it again they're this book the safer is available on Hebrew books so one could easily um go through it I'm not going to quote all the different things that he says when he talks about but here he has a chapter and and so so he says in the conclusion of the chapter so he says the also had this different aspects of It's says now he's saying a different that when people the why is it because the person who asks believes and he brings a say such a thing. So this is a fascinating the whole but he talks about starting with brings down and other aspects of this. Now he says you could see that there was a power of one quote what's going on. Okay, fine. Anyway, I I um not going to go into all the different but the the the would like to be Messiah was like this. It's interesting is that the talks a little bit about the stapler in has a whole showing how hadesho and then he has a few cases of it and then here he namish has a whole per about is it precedent when is the president to talk about in liter circles so it's interesting is that the one of the first works of about a um a called to from which is a work on the younger brother of the so in that book already about um and it's interesting like this after that work came out um various wrote a bunch of different introductions about the gr and never was the concept of msa mentioned in the earlier introductions until mish the last one what changed And and not only that in the first edition of the he also didn't talk about he played it down he doesn't talk about until later on and you see they're talking a little bit about and they're very not like the way you would predict how litfac don't believe in mim stories or what changed so it seems and this is a theory of mine to be in a different time but the point is it was this was the time were very into this discussing it so over time the the already and even the on they started talking about these things that they weren't comfortable talking about you say yeah they spoke about it but if you look from after you rarely will ever see such language discussions of this now but slowly slowly not only it's like a regular part of it so even the has a little bit about it the stipler has more and he had to he's magic about because today it's it's pett it's it's a it's a given people talk about it what does it mean so he puts down in very nice context some of the nudis behind what is anyway the point is these are some of the many different things that one could gain from learning the safer there's a beautiful beautiful safer very well written and one could learn it very easily to be on and all the different accudists I'm sure there's a lot going on um why he picked these gumaras and all these things this is not there's above my pay grade but I believe others have attempted to do some about that thank you Rabbi Bratz so when are you beginning your share onesh for uh broader community that I can't say I leave it up to others others that are more much more royal than me about that I could just say some points about it that's it okay and those who you suggested may not listen to your episodes because you don't have a beard so that's why we have a special audio only track so they don't even have to look at your face yes that's a good idea okay thank you very much have a wonderful shabas you
