you know the other day after a long fought republican primary i emerged the winner against my opponent and i was feeling good ready to go into the general election and then all of a sudden friends of mine in the ultra orthodox and her city community said well there's a one-minute video going around and some people are upset with you curtis i said okay and then it just started to mount more and more i recognize this is all part of the political process because for 42 years i've been there with the guardian angels when jewish people were in need are you forgetting crown heights in 1991 when david dinkins ordered the police to stand back i and the guardian angels were there 30 days 30 nights to protect the lubovichs then remember uh 2019 hanukkah the attacks endless attacks we guardian angels and i were there from muncie to midwood to borough park williamsburg crown heights regal park to protect jews who are under attack and most recently in riverdale when the anti-semite was breaking class two nights in a row reminding people of crystal night the night of the broken glass now i've been there for you and so when critics emerged and even started to call me an anti-semite i said you know something curtis hold off i'm going to reach out to some of those critics and my friends and we'll have a sit down we'll discuss what our differences may be about certification through the state department of education and the city's department of education because we have some real differences there but you sat down with eric adams who at one time followed louis farrakhan you sat down with andrew yang who really didn't know anything about the ultra orthodox in our city community i've been your friend i've been there always so look i'll reach out to you and let's sit down and discuss our differences but please don't call me an anti-semite my two youngest sons have been raised jewish they need to read this to say to themselves my father is an anti-semite come on even my worst critics out there would recognize that's the shonda so i'll reach out to meet with you and hopefully we'll be able to resolve our differences
