you heard me say it before the fact that
there's a an NJ on the side of our
shoulder well doesn't mean that we just
serve people here in New Jersey this
will be our third time down there in the
last few years and I still hear people
talking about those last two deployments
so the fact that here we go again
tremendous source of Pride for me
personally and professionally as the
first Puerto Rican woman elected in the
state it is a true honor and a privilege
to be sending you off this morning
a debt of gratitude to all of you here
for the Puerto Ricans in the grooms
and in the states
I can't explain to you the undeniable
connection that we have to the Island
New Jersey has stood up time and time
and again this isn't the first time that
the women and the men of the New Jersey
State Police has said presente and has
gone there to help the families that
they've never seen before in their lives
today as you make a connection that is
so strong with the Garden State to say
presente on behalf of the Puerto Rican
families who are struggling who are
still four days in without light and
without power but you're going to show
them the electric mortification that New
Jersey has with New Jersey strong I just
want to thank you all uh to see so many
Troopers women and men so many people
with family down in Puerto Rico going
down to represent us
in a time of need it's remarkable I know
you all don't have to do this you're
standing up you're standing you're
stepping up to help folks out and you're
doing it on behalf of our state and I
can tell you I've spoken to people in
Puerto Rico they're looking forward to
having you down there they're going to
see the triangle and they're going to
know where you're coming from and
they're going to be so grateful for
everything you're doing and I want you
to know that for me the governor we all
deeply appreciate everything you're
doing on top of what you do every single
day most of Puerto Rico may be dark and
without power but you each and every one
of you are going to be the light that
those people are looking forward to
seeing hit the ground when no when I
played lands with you in 50 New York
state troopers that's what service looks
like that's what law enforcement looks
like
