A summer reminder for riders and drivers alike: stay alert, share the road, and keep everyone safe

Good evening. My name is Captain Harate. I'm the commanding officer of the 66 precinct. Later this afternoon, thousands of children are going to take to the streets playing ball, riding their bikes, and just having a good time. At this time of the year, it's almost a pleasure to see all the children after school playing around >> on their bikes, scooters. I'm not even talking about the e-scooters, which I believe should be completely banned. I feel very threatened and always afraid that something going to happen any day. Slow down, be cautious, and look out for your fellow Borough Park residents. Let's all take it upon ourselves to do our due [music] diligence and being a bit more cautious. Drive a bit slower, 15 miles per hour or less. We're doing it for our children. Our priority is your priority and together we can work together to make this a better community. Thank you.
