A Story of Unshakable Faith - Eyal Goldberg

I will tell you a true story that happened during an earthquake in Armenia. An elementary school collapsed there. There was a father there who was looking for his child, a 9-year-old boy. >> [music] >> Listen, for 38 hours he searched for his child in the rubble. Turning over stone after stone. Paramedics tell him, "Listen, what are you looking for? We haven't found [music] anything." He told them, "No, I'm not giving up." 38 hours later, he turned over one stone and suddenly he hears from within the rubble, he hears, "Dad." He moves the stone. He says to him, "My son, you're alive. I can't believe it." The boy with his remaining strength says to him, "Dad, I knew you would come. I knew you would come." >> [music] >> "I told all the children who were lying here with me under the rubble, we are all injured. I told them, 'Listen to me, my dad promised that he would always look after me. He will always be with me. As long as I am alive, I knew that you would keep digging until you found me.'" Dear friends, all year we have been buried under the rubble of life. >> [music] >> In anxieties, in worries, in fears. In the month [music] of Elul, the king is in the field. The Holy One, blessed be He, descends to the [music] field where all the dust and dirt are and searches for you under the rubble. Searches for you under the rubble of your lives and does not give up until He finds [music] that Jewish spark that resides within each and every one of us. Each [music] one of us is truly a part of God from above, with all the rubble, with all the disguises, and within [music] each and every one of us exists a Jewish spark that cries out, "Father, I am here. Save me from the darkness I am in." No matter what you have been through, the Holy One, blessed be He, is waiting with open arms just for you to return to Him. Just waiting for you to return to Him.
