I'm going to tell you something that's
very shocking, but I want you to listen
very carefully. No one ever said this
to you in your life, but I'm going to
shock you. Very Listen very carefully.
Okay.
There are places in Tanakh where Nevi'im
were asked a question,
and they would not They answered the
question based on the best of their
understanding,
and they were [music] incorrect.
Okay. Dear viewers, whoever is watching
and logging on
to either ohelsara.com,
to Outreach Judaism, to TorahAnytime, or
if you're a YouTube subscriber, thank
you so much for tuning in every single
time we post a podcast. With us today is
an incredible world-renowned
Rav, Rabbi Tovia Singer.
Shayishkeh l'yamim tovim v'arukim. He
should live a long and happy life. He's
the founder and director of Outreach
Judaism, which is a Jewish
counter-missionary organization
that I believe responds directly to the
issues raised by Christian missionaries
and cults.
Am I right, Rabbi Singer? That's
correct.
Rabbi Singer lives in Yerushalayim Ir
Hakodesh, the holy city of Yerushalayim,
in the Jewish Quarter.
And he helps to guide so many Jews and
Gentiles alike to find their authentic
roots back to Hashem. And we are so
happy to have the Rav with us on our
program tonight. Uh Kevod Harav, before
I begin,
I hope you won't find me a little bit
too forward in asking,
but the last few times that you and I
spoke,
and just from listening to all of your
shiurim in general, I always wondered
who you may have been in a former life
that you are so diligently
uh and most likely the only Rabbi I know
in the world today who dedicates so much
time to the cause of teaching Gentiles
the truth about Hashem, the manner in
which you so eloquently and with ease
quote the Christian text, and your
knowledge of the Christian faith, and
how you fight for Judaism and truth
mamash makes me wonder who you were in a
former life.
You know, a doctor
>> that people ask you? Not Not too much,
but you're a very unique teacher in Klal
Yisrael, so you would ask that question,
but I just would say this, um
>> [snorts]
>> that
you know, doctors in medical school
um have to study disease, right? If they
all they did was study healthy people,
they would never be able to help anyone.
So,
I would In a way, I was going to tell
you I wish I didn't have to study
all this filthy literature. That's all
of it is zero.
But in another way, when you see how um
the body can heal itself and how so many
millions of people now coming to the God
of Israel, it's really a beautiful
thing, but it's true that, you know, in
medical school, people study disease,
not health. That's how you have to know
how to repair it.
But it it it's strengthening. It's good.
It's all good. But this is what I'm here
for. I think you lived during the time
of the Spanish Inquisition. Kenzayeh.
>> have been somebody back then who
probably knew the ins and outs of
everything that went on there by the
And here you are coming back to
us in this generation to fulfill this
mission and representing Hashem's truth
in the world, and we thank you so so
very much for that. So, let us begin.
Kevod Harav, as you know, we are
approaching the great chag of Pesach,
the holiday when we celebrate the Exodus
from Egypt
with the culmination of the splitting of
the sea,
which Chachamim tell us actually
represents
the part of the story of Egypt where the
Jews wondered
what comes next.
Because just when we thought that we
managed to escape the clutches of the
evil Paroh, and we were finally in the
clear,
just as we hailed the sigh of relief and
said, "Ah, baruch Hashem, we've been
redeemed from Egypt. Hashem took us out
of the worst place on Earth."
Just then we realized that another
dilemma was right behind us.
Paroh and his entire army was chasing us
in the desert in order to destroy us.
And therefore, Chachamim tell us that
Kriat Yam Suf represents the idea
of Am Yisrael assuming
that they were out of danger and wanting
to know what happens next. What does
Hashem have planned for us right now? Uh
so, there was a marvelous event when we
crossed the Yam Suf.
The point where the where the our
parents had tremendous menuchas hanefesh
is Hashem did another miracle,
which seems like a small miracle in
comparison to the parting of the sea,
in [snorts] that the Egyptians
that
drowned, that were killed in the sea
that had collapsed on them, so Hashem
made a miracle for the Jews.
And that is that they could see with
their eyes their bodies washed up on the
side on the beach where they were, on
the other side of the sea.
And in fact, when they saw the
destruction of their enemies, cuz
normally,
if a whole army is drowns in a sea,
their bodies would wash up all over, or
they would be eaten by all sorts of
animals.
But Hashem did a tremendous miracle that
the people of Israel could see their
enemies, their persecutors,
their bodies laying there, and that was
that moment that they pointed their
fingers at heaven and said, "This is my
God." Zekh Elivyan Ve'il. It's very
interesting they had to see that. And we
are living in a remarkable time right
now.
These are not my words. The Navi
Yechezkel says this
in the tekufah, in the epic that we're
now enduring, and that is the final war
with
Persia. It's explicit in Ezekiel 38 and
39. So, the last words of chapter 39
is
that the nations will see the
destruction
of [snorts]
of Persia, meaning Iran,
and then they will know that I am God.
That's pasuk aleph.
Pasuk bet is and the Jews are going to
see the destruction
of our enemies with their own eyes, and
they then then they will know that I am
God, because as we all know that, unlike
the Exodus, which was designed to save a
single nation, the Bnei Yisrael,
Mashiach, which we are now
We are now in the tekufah of the geulah
itself, it's happening now.
Um the whole world is saved. That's the
key difference between the Exodus from
Egypt and the the final redemption that
we are in right now.
And it's interesting that 3,300 years
ago, the only way our grandparents could
see the dead bodies is their dead bodies
have to wash up.
Today, but it the Navi says that the
whole world will see the destruction of
Persia and all of their yotzei'em, all
of their
cohorts, Hezbollah, and all all our good
friends,
our our cousins. So, they will were talk
uh living in a time we're actually able
to see this.
And this is a remarkable event as part
of the geulah.
It is. I want to add to what you're
saying, and I I just uh
a postscript that Chachamim tell us
about what you were saying about the
Egyptians uh floating to the shores
so that Am Yisrael could actually see
the dead bodies of the Egyptians is
because
the Midrash states that
had they not seen the bodies of the
Egyptians, Am Yisrael, even if they were
freed from Egypt, would have remained in
a state in a mental state of slavery,
because they would have always thought,
"Maybe they didn't drown. Maybe they
ended up living." And and they would
have constantly been in this mental
state of slavery, which would not have
helped them to truly be redeemed. So,
that was actually a chesed of Hashem
that he did for us, that we actually
witnessed it with our own eyes, so that
we could feel assured that they will not
uh destroy us or attack us or enslave us
again. And I want to add
also that, as you know, um Kevod Harav,
um Am Yisrael was in the midst of a very
intense crisis on October the 7th.
Thousands of our brothers and sisters
were murdered. Lo aleinu, we shouldn't
We should never see this again in the
most brutal and vicious attack by our
enemy, and we had entered into a battle
with Hamas as rockets rained over Eretz
Yisrael for months.
And as I said earlier, just as things
die down like we thought in Egypt and we
thought that that battle had come to
some kind of end
and we left our homes feeling very
confident and secure
and we thought we were finally free from
Egypt so to speak.
We were suddenly hit
with hundreds of rockets
just a few months later and the entire
country is once again at a standstill
and every day we run to a shelter
several times a day praying that we will
survive another day.
So, that's why I want to go back to what
I was saying because Kriyat Yam Suf
represents that question of what is
coming next. That's why we're here
tonight. We're here to answer this
question and several more. Now, the
truth is only Hashem knows who, what and
when. Far be it from me to make
predictions about this dangerous but
glorious time period in our history.
But what I do know
is that the episode of Kriyat Yam Suf
demands a certain attitude from a Jew
that no matter what happens next, we are
going to be spiritually and emotionally
prepared and that's what I'd like to
talk to you about.
Today, you and I who teach Torah and
know what the prophets state concerning
the future, we've both I'm sure read
through all of Tanakh but there are many
who sadly are not well versed in the
Sefarim of the Nevi'im and even if they
did read the Sefarim, they might
interpret the words to fit a narrative
that's suitable and convenient for them.
So, I'd like to begin by asking the Rav
to enlighten the viewers as to what the
Nevi'im state about the affairs of Eretz
Yisrael in the end of days. That is more
specifically, what should we expect will
occur excluding excluding the war of Gog
u Magog which I hope to address a little
later but mainly
uh why are all the events prophesied by
our Nevi'im vital to the era of
Mashiach? I confess something and every
time we do a show,
as you're speaking and I know I'm about
to speak, I'm always asking God that you
won't stop. Tell your teachers very very
beautiful. I've never walked away from a
from an interview the same person that I
began the interview. So,
so as it it's as we know, you know, we
would ask people once a year on the 15th
day of the first month, we're going to
have a festival, a meal that's going to
be have more mitzvot than any other meal
during the entire year.
What name should we give such a such a
meal?
So, I think if we asked a whole group of
people,
I don't think it would even come in in
top 10 that should be called a Seder an
order.
That's like an odd name. It's a modern
name. We I can think of many other names
logically.
But as it turns out, the Seder means in
order of events and in fact, it's 15
very
discrete, distinct segments of a Seder
and that's exactly how the Nevi'im
describe where we are right now and it's
very important. So, we should be able to
recognize what's happening and we should
be able to be at safer cuz see peace in
the issue that's what a person was
required to do.
And therefore, what is happening now
is we are told explicitly
in two chapters in Yechezkel exactly
what's happening now.
Yechezkel is a very unique Navi who is
not like anyone else in that the details
he gives
by shlishi, no one else gives such
details. In any case, he explains
exactly why at the end of days
the Jews will have to go to war with
Persia.
And that's where we are now and
the reason why Persia is odd, is weird,
is they're not Arabs. So, we don't have
really history with them and whatever
history we had with Persia was generally
positive. Cyrus is an example. Cyrus is
of quite benevolent to the Jews and
that's when Sefarim Yechezkel and all
these last prophets are written. So,
Yechezkel actually tells us why there's
going to be a war with Persia who's not
even they don't share a border with us.
It's counterintuitive.
And it tells us explicitly that the
purpose of the war is that the enemies
of Hashem will be completely destroyed.
The Jewish people will return back to
Eretz Yisrael. This is before Mashiach
comes
and all these enemies of God who are Ye
Ye I'd say him who are the collaborators
with Persia will be destroyed.
And then the whole world will know that
I am Hashem and that's the critical part
of Mashiach incidentally. The center of
the Messianic prophecy is that the
knowledge of God will cover the world as
the water covers the sea. Isaiah 11:9
and all the nations will sweep with
Sefarim Tzephaniah chapter 3:9.
So, we're actually this is very clear
and I encourage you the viewer to read
Ezekiel 39:21-29.
That's how it all ends and then
Mashiach. We're right there right at the
edge right now. I'm just wondering to
myself now as you're speaking when you
say Persia.
Paras Malchut Paras
because we know that the conflict at the
end of days really takes place with
Malchut Edom.
Uh there have been many writings
especially by the Chofetz Chaim alav
hashalom, the Vilna Gaon alav hashalom
wrote about this that that eventually
and I don't know I again, far be it from
me to even delve into the words of the
Gaon of Vilna but he claimed that Edom
Malchut Edom and Yishmael fused together
in order to come against the the Jews in
in Eretz Yisrael and that's when the
conflict of the 70 nations begins to
pulsate more and more in the world.
Right now as it seems,
Paras is not really Paras meaning the
original Persian is not who he is today.
Um the regime, the Islamic regime took
over Persia. So, the question is is it
really Paras or Yishmael?
And is it true that Yishmael will join
forces with Edom in order to attack Klal
Yisrael?
>> Right. So, Edom is our implacable enemy.
We have whole books in Tanakh that are
just devoted to telling us how God is
going to destroy Edom at the end of days
such as
Ovadiah as an example. The whole safer
just devoted to the destruction of Edom
who's the implacable enemy of Klal
Yisrael and has been for the last 2,000
years and it's a result of that that the
Jewish people had to flee back to Eretz
Yisrael and Edom is the church. They're
our spiritual enemy and our physical
enemy.
Now, when it comes to Persia, we we know
who they are and what's striking about
Persia
is that whereas in Europe today or in
even in the Arab world today, there's
been a tremendous
a bill a a homogenization
of populations. The people of Persia
today are we know the DNA are very
consistent with the people who lived in
Persia 2,500 years ago. Moreover,
after Muhammad died in the 7th century,
immediately
Arab armies went and took over what is
today modern day Iran.
It became a Shia Islamic country in the
early 16th century but it's been Islamic
since
since the time of Muhammad since the 7th
century. So, therefore
there's no reason to question that
what it says it says this openly
incidentally in Ezekiel chapter 38:5
that Persia Paras is the implacable
enemy of the Jews and they go to war. In
fact, it tells us in the verse before
Ezekiel 38:4 that Hashem is going to
force them. It means they're going to do
something stupid. The [snorts] Navi says
that it doesn't even won't even make
sense why they would do it. Now, we know
very well that Persia instigated others.
That means they have helpers around
them. Hamas is an example of who they
ally with. Hamas is a Bnei Yishmael.
They initially we're told in Ezekiel 38
a little later that they see that
there's an opening, there are places in
Eretz Yisrael that have don't have
gates, that don't have bars and they're
going to attack it. Many are going to be
killed and this is going to cause the
anger of God to be enraged, ignited
against the enemies and then Hakadosh
Baruch Hu will destroy them and their
bodies will be piled up for 7 years
where the birds will be feasting off
their corpses. This is very very clear
in these two chapters of Yechezkel.
So, so according to your knowledge of
the books,
Edom
is not let's say the Edomite people per
se
but the church. So, anyone who let's say
would follow
um church ideology or is an avoda zara
or is a clear anti-Semite
it would fall under that category. It is
interesting that when I lecture in
Europe, and it's quite frequent, I'm
told, I'm warned before I speak at a at
a at a college that most of the audience
here in London as an example, they don't
even believe in God.
This is a funny is a funny joke where in
Europe they hate us so much that they'll
tell me, "I don't believe in Jesus, but
I know you killed him." So, what's
interesting It's just like what's you
know, so the Bnei Yishmael we have a
Gemara that says that Yishmael, of
course Yishmael did teshuvah at when
Avraham Avinu died, he gave kedushas to
Yitzchak very famously. So, we have a
Gemara that the Bnei Yishmael, whoever
it means, does teshuvah. And it's very
interesting. I'm watching what you're
watching now that the Arabs, who really
are the Bnei Yishmael, who are living in
the Arabian Peninsula Gulf states, these
are Sunni Muslims, are saying to Israel
and America, "Go take out Go take out
Persia." So, everything is happening
according to script. In fact, they're
nervous that Trump will pull out.
They're nervous that Israel will stop
the war and they're saying, "Don't stop
it. Finish them off completely." So,
this this is the Gemara in Bava Basra
daf tes zayin tes vav tes zayin that the
end the Bnei Yishmael at the end, even
though we have a very
tenuous relationship with Bnei Yishmael,
just like Yitz- just like um Yitzchak
and Yishmael. Yitzchak didn't even know
what happened to him. He was just a
baby. He didn't understand why there's a
whole Could you imagine Yitzchak growing
up and he knows he has a brother that's
not happy with him and he has no clue
cuz he was So, Jews don't know like why
do you bother me with us? But at the end
at the end the Gemara told at the very
end Yishmael already realizes that
Yitzchak is really we have to give
kedushas to Yitzchak. And and and but
Persia is going to be our enemy. And
very It's you know, unlike India and
Pakistan, which can't stand each other
and many reasons why they should hate
each other, there's no reason in the
world why Persia and Israel should be
enemies. But I'll tell you an
interesting thought I had and that is
that
I get a lot of messages from people in
Iran. I get messages people in the whole
Islamic world. Mostly from Iran.
So, once the government is overthrown
and they're destroyed, it's very easy to
see how the people of Persia will do
teshuvah right away and accept Mashiach.
Wow.
That would be a fascinating thing to
see. I certainly would would probably
cry my my eyes out witnessing the
prophecies of our ancient Nevi'im who
stated that in Behaya baYom haHu Yihyeh
Hashem Echad uShmo Echad, that his name
will be one and even the will call
out to him and many of them will
convert. Where does that leave the
administration in the United States
currently? Because where where are they
falling? Is it possible
that that the Trump administration will
remain loyal to Eretz Yisrael
or do you think that they will pull out
because of dis-benefits to their
political agendas?
So, that's addressed in Tanakh as well
and I never discuss this publicly and if
you're asking me, you're the first time
I'll ever discuss it. Very interesting
question. So, in Tanakh we're told about
a a great country called Tyre.
And they were the closest allies of the
Jews. In fact, they helped
haMelech build the Beit haMikdash.
Hiram was the king of Tyre. They were
extremely wealthy and they were Israel's
best friend.
Now, this is a very interesting topic
that I can't believe you asked me about
it cuz I think about it all the time.
And there are many many perakim in
Tanakh that talk about this Tyre. It was
a big civilization, fantastically
wealthy, Israel's best friend. Now, in
the end what happened is they demanded
that look, we gave you brought you wood
from
Lebanon to build the Beit haMikdash.
They sent their best artisans to help
build the Beit haMikdash. They were our
best friends. In the end, the king of
Tyre became he had chutzpah and he said,
"I want good cities and we didn't get
The cities you gave me weren't good
enough." And God said, "Okay, I'm going
to destroy you." Please see Ezekiel
chapter 26, 27, 28. Yirmiyahu discuss
it. Isaiah discuss it. They all talk
about it. And so, strange thing. What
So, Israel's best friend in the past
became arrogant, full of ga'avah. They
could have gone either way.
America's a very interesting country
because its democracy is remarkable.
It's really unparalleled. I don't want
to go into the complications of
separation of powers, which we don't
have here in Israel. But in the
separation of powers,
um we have a problem with our judicial
system. I'm not going to that cuz it's
not it's not my area, but everyone knows
there's a problem. But America has a
brilliant system. So, America has such a
healthy democracy.
I want the viewers to listen very
carefully.
We very much wonder, and I hear it
constantly, who's going to be the next
president? Is Trump going to turn
against Israel and then we're going to
have nobody? Because in truth, October
7th happened. We all know that Israel
was not prepared for it and America
basically stepped in and saved us. I
mean, Trump did. I mean, God did really,
but Trump made a decision.
So, really what's happening is America
has a full decision to make. And
[clears throat] whatever its leaders
decide, both the executive branch,
meaning the president, and its
legislative branch, meaning Congress and
the Senate, really is the will of the
people. Even more so than Israel where
the legislative and executive branch are
completely intertwined.
And therefore,
I want for those of you watching us
right now, you must view what's going on
like Bnei Tyre. You have to look through
the eyes of Tanakh.
America I love America. I was born there
and so were my parents.
America
is dependent on what decision it will
make now.
If it blesses Eretz Yisrael, HaKadosh
Baruch Hu will save America.
And if it turns its back on Israel,
HaKadosh Baruch Hu will destroy it. Just
like not only Hashem said to Avraham
Avinu, but Bil'am says in Numbers
chapter 24 in his fourth oracle when he
said, "You cannot curse this people and
whoever blesses me blessed." America is
in a very critical stage, but just
understand this.
America's survival, and I I'm rooting,
we're all rooting for America. America's
survival depends on if it blesses Eretz
Yisrael. If it does, HaKadosh Baruch Hu
will save it. Chas v'chalilah the other
way. Do not think for a moment It should
not go on your mind for one moment that
Israel's security depends on America.
That's how it seems to the outsider.
This is completely not das Torah. Das
Torah is that really America is reliant
on Israel if it blesses it. And it looks
like I Now, I could talk like anyone
else. I'm not going to tell you I know
what America will do, but it looks like
that a very unique personality has
emerged, which we've never seen anything
like it. Cyrus was kind of like Trump.
Kind of like it, but we never really saw
such a figure. And he has risen up and
he's doing the What he's doing now
politically is very very dangerous.
Politically is dangerous. Really, he's
saving the world because if
if Persia would shoot a a nuclear weapon
God forbid at Israel, Israel would have
to return in kind. It would destroy the
world. It would be a nuclear winter. So,
I don't know why people don't see this.
Even if you hate Israel, you want to
save America. But the clear answer is
that in fact the America's survival and
survival all the nations of the world is
are they going to stand with Gog or they
going to stand with the Ananei haKavod,
the clouds of glory? And
because
of this, when Mashiach comes, the
all the nations that survived, that
stood by Israel, will do something wild.
Normally, a non-Jew does not celebrate
Sukkos. He doesn't even go into a sukka.
We all know the halacha. But they're
going to say in Zechariah chapter 14
verse 16 openly says that the nations
that survived, that stood by Eretz
Yisrael, they're going to celebrate
Sukkos cuz they trusted in the Ananei
haKavod and they did not
they did not trust in the Gog, that's
Muhammad's Gog. They didn't trust in the
roof. So, we're living in a remarkable
time and America now has a decision to
make, which it seems to be making.
But [snorts]
Eretz Yisrael, the people of Israel,
have a covenant with God. America has no
such covenant. So, it's very critical
for America to make the right decision.
>> Right. And I want to add to what you're
saying, a thought that I had as well is
that we know that
America, um Malkhut Edom, is really
Malkhut Romi, aka Malkhut Romi, aka
Esav. They are the descendants of Esav
and I was thinking to myself that it's
possible that what we are seeing now,
which is
the Trump administration doing what I
call a major clean-up job
of kind of
separating [snorts]
evil from good,
morality from immorality. Slowly slowly,
he's cleaning up the world. He's
cleaning up shop over there in America.
And I found it to be very interesting
because that it's like almost a sign of
Esav's
eternal place
in history where Hashem I hope that he
will do chuva all of Esau will do chuva
and then we can come together in the
original union that was meant to take
place between Yaakov and Esau where
Yaakov and Esau you know they will be
I don't want to say the word servants
because it's not the proper I guess term
to use but they will
help us they will assist in the
spiritual service to God and that is my
ultimate you know hope that we should be
able to see this because that's pretty
much what I'm noticing and of course we
have the opposition to that
administration all of those individuals
in America who are unfortunately are
always putting up stumbling blocks in
the path of good and is you know if you
want to call them the gentile of the
world and I don't see you know I'm not
supposed to speak this way I know
every time I see them I see black all
all over I see black over them
like a dark cloud looming
upon their heads because of the evil
that they emit from within
and they have very little compassion for
truth and for justice
we should hear we should hear and see
only good things happening I grew up in
America
this is where I became from
it's where I was
I don't know you know Hashem guided my
footsteps that should be there that I
should be
that that country has always helped me
so I cannot be a good person
but
America is not what it was when I was
growing up
you know and when I lived there just
recently many things have changed and so
we see this ultimate battle between good
and evil
even even just in in New York and what's
happening now with this you know the
rise of this uh Our good friend he look
he's done more follow yeah this genius
this luminary has done this mayor of New
York this giant definitely put over
there definitely put over there in order
to urge the Jews which I will soon speak
to you about but there is
[clears throat] a question
that a
student of mine wrote to me that she
wanted me to answer and if you could
please give me just a moment or two just
to answer her question and I would like
you also to add to that um her question
is how do we prepare
for the war of Gog and Magog
and so
I would like to just in just a couple of
minutes just say that I think what we
have to remember
in general is that God is the one
running the show from beginning to end
our task is to have faith on the level
of the Jews standing at the foot of
Mount Sinai
when they declared
we will do and we will hear
and therefore we have to follow
lead and do whatever we can to repent to
demonstrate our loyalty to Torah and
recommit ourselves to the observance of
the attitude of the Jew in this current
and the place to turn to for the answers
to the questions that we are
you know asking and answering tonight is
actually the episode like I said of the
and what occurred in those moments right
before the sea split
when
left Egypt we said and they thought
they'd never see
or experience any kind of Jewish
persecution ever again
and they assumed that the enemy had
finally been defeated and they wouldn't
ever have to deal with anti-semitism or
oppression they actually left Egypt
celebrating and they were joyful they
felt they had already lived through the
worst horrors imaginable and that they
could now live a free and happy
existence and just then when they
thought that they'd never have to
experience this evil again they suddenly
found themselves faced with another
serious danger because they were now in
the fatal position of the raging sea in
front of them and the Egyptian chariots
behind them ready to trample them
and the Jews began to panic they didn't
know what to do they turned to each
other and they were asking
what's going to be
that's the episode of the sea
the splitting of the sea was the answer
to this generation of what's coming next
how are we going to survive this
horrific world battle now
the natural reaction to the question of
what's going to be in our generation
right now is generally fear
when we are dealing with the unknown
the first impulse is to feel panic and
distress and that was the reaction of
the Jews at the sea all they saw in that
moment was the sea in front of them
and army chasing them from behind and
they thought that's it we're done we're
finished just when we thought we were
finally safe we have to contend with an
even bigger dilemma what's going to be
in the moment of the unknown
people start to feel frightened and
uncertain
and we find ourselves again in the same
situation just two weeks before the holy
Passover no one knows what tomorrow is
going to bring concerning this
catastrophic war
and the question is that this young
student is asking is what's going to get
us through everything that's about to
happen next and so
I my answer
is
complete
and unwavering faith and trust in the
master of the universe
because
right
I love you
turn to
at the sea
and what did he tell them
he said
do not be afraid do not be afraid he
stand firm and see at
the salvation of God that he will do for
you today and his words
echo through the the generations and
have to penetrate our hearts
so my message to you the viewers is
strengthen yourselves my dear brothers
and sisters and have faith in Hashem and
you're going to see his miraculous
salvation we have to gird ourselves with
and be
with faith and trust only in Hashem and
no one and nothing else that is the
bet the core and foundation of
and
we have to have faith in the
we have to rely on the father who has
seen us through every calamity in the
past and he will be there for us in the
present just as he was for our ancestors
at the Red Sea that's my answer to this
student of how to prepare our self for
this impending war faith and trust but
now I would like to turn the floor to
the and ask you the following questions
what are
what can you tell us about the effects
of this war on the entire world
it's really a three-part question
what what can you tell us about the
effects of this war on the entire world
if this war will affect many lives does
that include the Jewish people
maybe you can enlighten us also about
what this war would look like
how it develops according to the
who are the main players
is this war with Iran expanding to meet
the prophecies which means will the
other nations join in how does it end
for the rebellious gentile world as well
as the Jewish people a lot of questions
right but it all falls under that
category I'm first of all I'm going to
say I don't even have to guess that this
woman who when who will remain nameless
definitely does not live in Israel
simple if you're in Israel so you see
the hand of Hashem if you're in
Israel you're a nervous wreck
this is always goes on I remember when I
lived in America many years ago almost
so when I would call people who were in
Israel and I go why are you like shaking
don't you see the news and why are you
so calm why are you so why are you not
going crazy every day people are going
aren't you scared the rockets are flying
as I'm on the phone they can hear the
sirens in the background listen very
carefully
our sages of blessed memory address a
very interesting question in our holy
books and that is when Messiah comes
what are we going to read in Tanakh
because after all we can now read Isaiah
with
but these although they're holy in the
word of God it wouldn't make sense once
Messiah comes that we're going to be
still read we're not going to read
lamentations we're not going to read
we're not going to read Isaiah because
Isaiah is talking about an event in the
future but it happened already so it's
interesting that our sages tell us that
in the after Messiah comes we'll read of
course the five books of Moses the
because we have now to live our lives
and we're only going to have
that's going to be it
is something that will be on our lips
what's going on over here so what the
just said what the
just said is just so brilliant it's just
unbelievable
so it's interesting that now what should
you do right at this moment so at the
time of
when the parting of the sea so we were
able to see the miracles and we had no
choice we had no free will, and at Mount
Sinai, God
put a mountain over our head and said,
"Take accept the Torah or this is you're
going to be buried." Cuz we really
didn't have free will, but
Purim
is really a time when we can, if we
wish, say that the events [snorts] that
are occurring right now coincidence. We
got lucky. A bullet missed Trump's ear,
just grazed his ear, and he became
president because of that assassination
attempt. And pleasing he is happens to
be like the Jews and like his father
did, and we got lucky and there's a
coincidence, just like Purim. If you
wanted to in Purim, the book that has
God's name does not appear in it. How
strange.
And one could say that everything that's
happening now is a big coincidence of
what's going to happen in 2028. There'll
be an election in America. Maybe we'll
get a Mom Donny who's the next
president, and then we're really
finished. Thank God we have Trump for 2
and 1/2 2 years 2 and 1/2 years. And
what will we do without Trump and who's
going to be next is this JD Vance is a
nightmare. It's all we're talking about.
They're all very, very, very silly. The
key point today is to understand that
all the rockets because the the rabbinic
and I we hear the rockets and the sirens
are going off and the booms in the air.
You have to know that this is the Yad
Hashem. Just like Esther, I'm sure she
was a very pretty girl. I'm sure she was
a she was a knockout. But you have to
know that Esther was put I'm sure, but
she was put in that place as Mordecai
told her, "You were put here for this
purpose to save claw Israel. Either
you're going to do it or I'll destroy
your family someone else is going to do
it." So, the key point to understand is
right now we're really in the highest
place. Why? Cuz now we have to know that
every F-35 and all the things that are
happening now is also is Yad Hashem.
Even though we have an escape hatch, we
have free will. That's the case. It's
also not a good thing to be in Hutz
Aretz. I'll be honest with you. Meaning
the the place to be half the Jews now in
the world live in the land of Israel,
which was not the case in the second
temple period.
In fact, that's not been the case since
the days of Hiskia. We're living in a
remarkable time in history, and you
could look I want to be straight with
the viewer. You could practice Judaism
in the five towns and Rockaway and
Chicago and Miami and in Los Angeles,
but you can only live it here. And
really this is the place to be, and if
you're going to be in Hutz Aretz, one of
the problems is you're going to be
filled with trembling and fear because
you're not in a natural place. This is
where you should be. But the key is that
you have to understand that everything
that's happening now is the redemption.
Everything that's happening now, and
just understand that all the things
where God is delivering us is the Yad
Hashem. It's not because Esther was
pretty and Mordecai could understand
many languages and he just happens to
overhear it. Could be coincidence.
Nothing. Everything now is happening cuz
it's in our hands. If you have that in
mind, then you'll be at peace and you'll
know that the Geulah is it's not that
it's coming. We're now living b'sha'at
Geulah, living in the time of the
Geulah, and I beg you read Ezekiel 38
and 39. May I with your permission one
thing I want to just add this.
The Rambam says in Hilchos Melachim,
meaning the laws of kings, chapter 12,
we're discussing Messiah. The laws of
Messiah. And he talks about Christianity
and Islam. The Rambam says something
that all Chazal said. And that is we
often think that the past generations
they knew more than us.
But this is not the way Chazal spoke.
The Rambam says the following, that
others should stop trying to make
calculations and all these things. It's
only going to be the Dor HaGeulah. It's
only be the generation that lives when
the times of Messiah comes. Only they
will fully understand these prophecies.
My brothers and sisters, children who
are born from above, not from below,
understand we're in a very unique
generation. I know we feel small
compared to past generations. Many ways
we are, but it happens to be that for
whatever reason according to God's
purpose and his eternal plan, we were
chosen to live in this Dor HaGeulah.
And therefore only we can fully
understand these pesukim. These are not
my words. I would never dare say such
words.
The holy Rambam and Chazal all said
this. Only the Dor who will live at the
time of the Geulah will fully understand
these prophecies. We're here right now.
We understand what's going on. For
example, in these passages it talks
about a nation from the north who will
attack Eretz Israel. Well, there was big
arguments which nation is this in the
north. We now know because Hezbollah has
been shooting at us today and yesterday
and the day before. That means that we
understand these texts because we are in
the time when it's mamash happening. So,
this is a time to be strong and of good
faith. And today, unlike the you see us
in Mitzrayim, we can now have to say we
know this is from Hashem, whereas they
had a mountain over their head, we
don't.
Well, that that's amazing, but
not but and it leads me to the question
that I wanted to ask the Rav that's
actually been gnawing at me for some
time. But before I ask you that
question, I just want to say something
on the heels of what you said
because um
I believe, if I'm not mistaken, the
Ariza Kadisha alav hashalom wrote in his
sefarim
Acharit k'reishit is a pasuk
that says that the end will mirror the
beginning.
And he refers to the galut of Mitzrayim
being the mother galut. He calls it the
ima galut, so to speak. She's the mother
that gave birth, so to speak, to four
rashim, to four,
you know, galuyot. He actually quotes a
pasuk uh
that are in Shemot of about haba'im
Mitzrayima, that the Jews were coming
they they were haba'im Mitzrayima. He
says that the hey there is not
necessary. You could just say that the
b'nei Yisrael ba'im Mitzrayima, that
they came to Mitzrayim. Why haba'im?
That came. He says first of all, the
hey, the shpitz of the hey, represents
the ima.
And then ba'im, which is spelled with a
bet, with an aleph, with a yud, with a
mem,
that actually represents the four sons
of the mother, the four galuyot that
Egypt gave birth to. Bet
is galut Bavel, he says, he writes.
Aleph is galut Edom. Yud
is galut Yavan, and mem is galut Madai
Paras u'Madai. So, having said that, he
says, "If you want to see or know or
understand what will take place at the
end, acharit, go read Sefer Shemot. You
have to go back to reishit." The first
galut
and the first geulah, the ima galut and
geulah, will mirror the end because it
has to come full circle.
And he writes something incredible. He
writes that
many, many, many, many of the souls that
were zocheh to leave Egypt,
but still had pain and suffering and
they had a lot of tikkunim in the
desert, etc., etc., still needed to
rectify.
And many of those souls will be
reincarnated
into the bodies of the people that the
Jews that will be born in the final
geulah
in order to b'emet complete the entire
picture of a world rectification.
And I believe that we are seeing that
now, that it will come full circle,
that we will be redeemed from this
galut. But we have to take the necessary
steps in order to show Hashem that we
are ready for that, which leads me to
this question that's been gnawing at me
because it it has been my feeling for
quite some time now that Hashem has been
offering the Jews in the galut
especially
many opportunities
and many open signs that it's time to
leave and to finally come home.
It's like going back to like pre-war
Germany.
How much can Hakadosh Baruch Hu already
squeeze you and squeeze you and put the
the the rope around your neck
before you understand that you need to
leave. So, I want I would like to ask
the Rav about aliyah to Eretz Israel
specifically though,
why it is that so many rabbonim,
especially in America,
are discouraging it at every turn and in
every way possible. And I would like to
give the Rav a crazy example. I don't
want to say
which meeting I saw this in, but there
was a massive meeting
in America that hundreds and hundreds of
Jews joined.
And in that meeting there were I think
two or three rabbonim that were asking
the question that the people wanted them
to answer, which was should we make
aliyah? Because they felt is this time
now to make aliyah? Because they felt
that
Hashem is showing them signs and they
don't feel safe anymore in America
anymore in America and times are
changing and they feel Hashem is trying
to tell them get out.
Kvod haRav,
I don't know what to tell you. Yeah, you
know, Jews had questions before World
War II if they should get out of Hungary
and Poland.
And they were and they were told they
were told the following words.
That Palestine will go up in flames and
to be here. You have to understand I'm
going to tell you something that's very
shocking. I want you to listen very
carefully. No one ever said this
to you in your life, but I'm going to
shock you very Listen very carefully.
You never heard this before.
There are
Never compare yourself with this. Says
you're going to be shocked.
Okay. [snorts]
There are places in Tanakh
where Nevi'im were asked the question
and they were not They answered the
question based on the best of their
understanding
and they were incorrect.
And Hashem went to them and said, "Go
back and fix it." I'll give you an
example. You need to know this.
>> Wow.
Yes, wow is right.
So, I'll give you
There are so many famous examples. I'll
give you one. In Shmuel Bet
Perek Zayin.
What happens? David HaMelech says, "We
need a Beit HaMikdash. I want to build
it." Very famous story.
So, he goes to Natan and he says, "I
want to build a Beit HaMikdash. It's not
right that there's no Beit HaMikdash
here we have."
So, Natan, who was a Navi, but he
answered him like a like he was one of
the greatest people alive and he's a
contributing author to the book of Sefer
Shmuel.
He answered, "Of course, go ahead. Who's
better than you?"
So, what happens? He goes home. It's
right Please read Second Samuel Chapter
7.
It's right there. So, So, he goes home
and God comes to him and says, "What did
you do? Go back and tell David that he
can't build it that his son
HaMelech will build it. He can't do it.
Why is not germane to this conversation?
Now, this is a Navi, but he was asked
the question Shelo He was answering
Shelo BiNvu'ah. He wasn't He didn't have
prophecy and God told him He didn't
punish him or anything. He answered him
to the best of his ability, but he
happened to have been wrong and he said
to him and that's the famous promise
that God that
Natan made to David HaMelech that out of
you will come a son who he will
build the Beit HaMikdash and the Davidic
covenant Davidic promise is there. Now,
here's the question.
Why I understand that a Navi, but he's
not speaking BiNvu'ah. By the way,
Daniel makes a mistake. Daniel 9
miscalculates Jeremiah and the and the
angel Gavriel has to come and explain to
him two pesukim in in Jeremiah that he
conflated. There are many examples.
Here's the question, holy children of
Hashem. I know no one's ever said this
to you before, but it happens to be all
over Tanakh. Now, in that a person could
miscalculate, but he's answering to the
best of his ability, I understand. But
why is this recorded in Tanakh?
Everything that's in Tanakh has to be
Why is it in scripture? It has to be
Niten L'Dorot, which means it has to be
relevant to every generation that would
follow. That means why is this Nogea to
me that a prophet He's not having He
doesn't have Nvu'ah at that moment. He's
giving his opinion, but it's not
God says, "Go back and correct it."
Which he did. And David didn't build it.
The end So, the answer is the following.
We have to stop with this The rabbi said
of this said. Now, it's true if you have
a liver that has a pin in it or
whatever, then you should ask a rav for
sure. But when it comes to these
matters, we have to always revert back
to the Torah to the prophets of blessed
memory. And the prophet All we have to
do is go back to the Torah. The Ramban
HaKodesh
who's a
Kodesh
He came here to Eretz Yisrael in 1267
after he had to run out of Spain and he
moved to Yerushalayim and the Shul is
still here.
And he wrote his commentary He wrote his
commentary on the famous commentary on
the Torah that's the Ramban that
everybody learns. He wrote it here in
Eretz Yisrael in the 13th century when
he came here after he debate with the
Christian in Spain. And I beg you please
to read his commentary on Bamidbar Perek
Lamed Gimmel Pasuk Nun Gimmel. Please
read it yourself. Don't take my word for
it. And what he says is the following.
Number one, it's a Mitzvah DeOraita to
live in Eretz Yisrael. He says that not
me, not some Zionist. The Ramban was
quite a Zionist. Two, that Yeshivat
Eretz Yisrael is not only a Mitzvah, but
at all times whether the Mashiach is
here or not Mashiach is here, we must
liberate land. He says further, it's
really it's a Gemara. He's not making up
his own religion. Let's say a
a man wants to move to Eretz Yisrael and
his wife doesn't want to move to Eretz
Yisrael.
He can He
her and he's doesn't have to pay her
Ketubah. Conversely, now I don't want to
break up any marriages here, but I'm
going to tell you what's plain in the
text. If a woman wants to move to Eretz
Yisrael her husband says no, so she's in
Now, don't I want everyone to stay
married and to move here. The fact that
Moshe Rabbeinu Alav HaShalom begged God
after he knew he could not lead the
nation any longer. Why? You look it up
for yourself. It's in the Torah. Yeshua
has his disciple to take over. Moshe
Rabbeinu entreated God, "Please let me
go to Eretz Yisrael." So, the Gemara
asks the question, "Why did Moshe
Rabbeinu want to come to Eretz Yisrael?
He wanted to go to the Kinneret to dip
his feet inside?" What was he So, he
said because of the Mitzvot that are
Tluyim Ba'Aretz that there are Mitzvot
in Eretz Yisrael that cannot be
fulfilled anywhere else in the world.
This is an open and closed shut case.
I'm going to tell you tell you another
holy thing.
It's very interesting that our holy
books tell us that there will be Jews
will come to Eretz Yisrael before
Mashiach comes and Jews will have to
come will come after Mashiach comes
fulfilling Isaiah 43:4, 5, and 6 that
all the the Nidachim will come back.
Isaiah 56:8.
Our sages tell us Now, I do not
understand what this means, although
I'll tell you the Pasuk it's based on,
but I'll tell you clearly it's written
in all of our holy works
that the Jews who moved to Eretz Yisrael
prior to the last moment that Mashiach
comes
Don't ask me what this means. Will have
wings.
And the Jews who come when Mashiach
comes will not have wings. I don't know
what that means, but I know it's a good
thing to have wings. It's based on a
Pasuk in in Isaiah Chapter 60:8 based
openly in Tanakh. So, you should know in
fact in Tanakh, if you want to know, we
have in Ezra Chapter 2
and Kinnah Ezra Chapter 2 is what? Names
every family that moved to Eretz Yisrael
before the Second Temple was built.
That's how we know the number 42,360.
Where does that number come from? Those
are the Jews who left Babylon and came
to Eretz Yisrael prior to the building
of Beit HaMikdash. It's [snorts] that
chapter that that names We have them
memorialized
in Tanakh. They came before the Second
Temple was built. There were other Jews
who came later.
From here we see that those Jews who
moved to Eretz Yisrael have a place in
Tanakh. Their names are there.
Subsequently, the names are not there.
And if I say to you, my holy brothers
and sisters, we're living in a time if
your great-great-grandfather
Ask yourself. Who a Bukharian Jew,
wherever he was from. He could move to
Eretz Yisrael 150 years ago. He would
have given everything he has to move
here. You can get on a plane in 11 hours
and be here. And the country will give
you off free taxes for a year. What do
you think your great-great-grandmother
would have done? Ask yourself. So, it's
true if you're not going to leave you're
going to get more Momdanis. I'm sorry to
tell you, but Momdani is Haman was able
to accomplish more than all the
prophets. I Not my words, the words of
our sages. So, you're going to get more
Momdanis and AOCs and he's That's what's
happening. And it's time now to with
Eretz Yisrael there are Mitzvot in Eretz
Yisrael that cannot be accomplished
outside Eretz Yisrael. In fact, there
are there's a view a very consensus view
that in fact all the Mitzvot really
Tluyim Ba'Aretz and we're just
practicing outside in Miami, North Miami
Beach. It's very pretty. I was just
there lecturing, but this is where to
be, not there. And
>> Well, maybe you can give a little
Chizuk.
There was a young man over there
who
who asked the rav one of the the panel
there the Rabbanim
that what what what happened because
they were all against Aliyah. [sighs]
They had nothing positive to say about
Eretz Yisrael. It was shocking
to me. And they're big names, but the
point is that at some point this guy had
the guts, the courage
to get up and to say,
"Rabbi so-and-so, I don't want to say
the name. Um what what would happen if
let's say my rabbi I would have a
conversation with my rabbi and I would
tell him how I feel that my wife and I
really want to move that we feel it's
not safe here anymore and we want to you
know, move with the entire family." And
he says, "Absolutely not." And he says,
"What would happen if I didn't listen to
the rav
and I just did what me and my wife felt
was best for our family and if we would
get up and the ask go to Eretz Yisrael.
Is that okay?"
Do you know what the rav answered him?
He said, "If you do this, you're in the
category of a Kofer Be'Ikar."
I have nothing to say. I'm sorry. If I
wouldn't have heard it myself, oh I
almost fell off my chair. And the guy
says, "Why?" He says, "Because your
Chiyuv is Das Torah. If Das Torah told
you you don't go, you don't go. Maybe
you could give his up to these people
who were there because it seemed like
they were all there for the purpose of
making Aliyah. There's There's a
problem. There's a problem. I'll tell
you the real problem. I'm going to tell
you and I'm going to put the dirty
laundry out. There's a There's a mice is
sudden momish that the Yeshiva world is
not learning Novi. It's a big problem.
People think I'm smart. I'm not smart.
You said very nice things about me, but
it's in truth that what happened was is
those of you who went to Yeshiva should
ask for a refund that you never It's I'm
telling straight away. How goes it be
that people are not learning safe of
Yeshaya? Girl goes to base Yakov and
never learns safe of Yachezkal once in
her life, not once. She wouldn't even
know how many chapters are in safe of
Yachezkal.
This is a nightmare. Why? Because we
have no idea what's supposed to happen
in the days of Mashiach. Have no
No clue at all. And the explanation for
it is very bad. The Gra, who you
mentioned earlier, lived during the time
of the American Revolution. He lived the
exact same time. And he said that
America would be the last galus. And he
instructed his talmidim to learn Novi.
And here you have the talmidia Gra, his
Yeshivot here in Eretz Yisrael that are
learning Novi first. And this has
happened How could this all occur and
not understand that what is happening
now is a part of the gullah?
Is it cuz people don't learn Novi? So,
they don't know Zachariah chapter 12
openly says that the Jews return to
Israel before Mashiach comes. They would
defeat their enemies. And Mashiach isn't
here because there There's a war.
Mashiach comes is complete peace.
Yerushalayim will be uh preserved. A
heavy burdensome stone will all will
come against it. And we And this is an
easy chapter. Do you know that the safe
of Zachariah is the only safe of that
Rashi uh he wrote obviously a commentary
on everything, but the only safe of that
he wrote a hakdama, an introduction to
his Zachariah. The only thing he wrote
That means imagine what Rashi wrote in
his lifetime. He never writes an
introduction, but only safe of Zachariah
he writes an introduction. He says it's
a hard safe of which it is. But the only
chapter that's easy is chapter 12.
Anyone could pick it up and read it.
Now, the problem is that we dropped the
ball, that we raised the generation
that's the most literate generation
history since the days of Hezekiah, but
we never not learning the Nevi'im. And
as a result of that, this is all
possible. I don't want to say more. The
key is we have to get back to Novi.
You have to go back to these books that
are all Ask a rav a question. If I can
speak to Yeshayahu and ask him, "Should
I read your safe or not? What do you
recommend?" If I would ask Yachezkal,
"You wrote a safe of that has 48
chapters. Should I read it or not read
it?" What would he say? He would say for
sure. Would he say, "No, no one in base
Yisrael should read it." No, of course
he'll say of course he wants to read it.
"I wrote it for that reason." So,
there's a big problem and this
emptiness, this space that we have
created, we've raised a generation of
people who are not learning Novi with
the exception of the talmidia Gra
is created a big problem call Yisrael
because they don't understand and they
associate Zionism with the early 20th
century. It's true, the early Zionists
were not religious, but as it turns out,
I'll just tell you this. I know this
will shock you because you, the viewers,
are not learning Ezra Nehemiah. The a
big segment of the Jews that made Aliyah
to Eretz Yisrael to build the second
level were not religious Jews. In fact,
one of the only places in Tanakh where
Jews are told, "Why you being mechallel
Shabbos? Why you marrying non-Jewish
girls?" is in Ezra and Nehemiah. Because
that Aliyah was filled with Jews who
were not very religious, but very
connected to the land.
>> [snorts]
>> The Gra said The Gemara says there was
never a Targum allowed to be written on
these books in the Kesuvim because that
would give away the days of Mashiach. I
need not say more. The fact that the
Yeshiva world is not learning Ezra
Nehemiah and understanding, "What are we
reading? Is this just a history book?
Who cares what happened 2,500 years?
What's it do with me?" This is Mashiach.
I don't say it. There's a Gemara in
Megillah that says this. The Gemara says
that they did not allow to be a Targum
on the Kesuvim because that gives away
Mashiach. Well, now we are here and
suddenly I have to explain this. We have
to get back into Novi. And if not to
Novi, we're going to have a problem. You
can eat a chicken soup at anybody's
table today. The laws of kashrus That's
not the problem. The problem is they
don't People are not learning Novi and
we're paying a very high There's a mice
is sudden and that's why it's happening.
We I don't want to talk about more cuz I
think I'll fall off my chair if I hear
any more of these stories. I'll I'll
fall over. We have to understand what's
going on. It's a mitz- mitzva to live in
Eretz Yisrael. The Ramban says that. I
don't understand why people And even
those who say, "But there's another view
that's not a mitzva to live in Eretz
Yisrael. It's not one of the 613 cuz
there's a machlokes." But there's still
mitzvas that are only you can accomplish
in Eretz Yisrael. The chalah day is So,
how you mekayem all the mitzvas that we
can keep today in in Chicago? It's not
possible. So, I don't understand even I
don't understand why people are talking
this way. And the Torah in Eretz Yisrael
is greater than anywhere in America. The
air in Eretz Yisrael that you breathe
makes you smarter and wiser. I didn't
say this. Don't pay attention to me.
This is written by our holy sages of
blessed memory. The avodah in Eretz
Yisrael will make you wiser. Torah in
Eretz Yisrael is the greatest. Eretz
Yisrael is the most beautiful place. So,
I don't know what they're talking about,
but it's I think people are very uh it's
a hunt They're They're sort of chasing
something that's not here anymore.
Today, there's so much Torah in Eretz
Yisrael. It's not like in 1906 where a
lot of the early Zionists weren't
religious. We're not living there
anymore. Here's where the Torah is.
Here's where the giants in Torah is.
This is where Rav Chaim Kanievsky is
living. He said we're living in a shas
of Torah. I didn't say it. So, it's
time.
to say I can't talk more to this cuz
it's It's very
crazy to hear this. I can't hear I can't
I'm not There Maybe there There are
stronger people than me. I confess to
you. I can't handle this. I can I can
handle the the Christian Bibles and all
this garbage I can handle this cuz it's
coming from But I can't handle
this coming from bnei Torah. I just
can't handle it. It blows my mind away.
Bishlama you tell me that there's a guy
in Rome who's worshipping ashkus, I'll
deal with him. I can deal with the Pope.
I can't deal with this kind of stuff.
Cuz this It's a problem. They're not
learning Novi in the Yeshiva world and
we're paying a price for it. That's it.
Period. End of sentence.
Your speech Your Your speech now gave me
a little bit of a of a
reminder to give the the am chizuk with
a wonderful wonderful vort from the Gra
Rebbe that I'm sure you're going to like
very much, alav shalom, who once
wondered
and actually goes back to the beginning
of our discussion. He asked, "Why is the
episode at the Yam Suf, at the sea,
referred to as kriat Yam Suf?"
A kriah is a tearing
from the word likroa.
And the Gra Rebbe says that this episode
should not have been called kriat Yam
Suf, the tearing of the sea, rather it
should have been called bekiat Yam Suf,
the splitting of the sea. And he points
out that in Sefer Shemot
in the book of Exodus, the pasuk
concerning the splitting of the sea
states Vayasem et hayam lecharavah,
and God made the sea into dry land,
vayivaku hamayim. And the waters split.
So, clearly the lashon, the language
used in many instances is livkoa,
bekiya, vayivaku, bokea. And yet we
don't refer to the splitting of the sea
as bekiat Yam Suf. Instead, we refer to
it as kriat Yam Suf. So, he asks,
"What's the difference between bekiya
and kriah?"
Listen to the amazing chiddush,
the novel interpretation of the Gra
Rebbe.
He states
that at the moment
that the sea split,
it was indeed a bekiat Yam Suf. The
waters of the sea did break open. This
was moments after Nachshon ben Aminadav,
alav shalom, jumped into those waters to
demonstrate his faith, and the water did
indeed split.
But the Gra Rebbe says that the waters
didn't part completely.
So, you have to picture the scene.
Try to envision yourself there
in this great moment [clears throat] in
history.
Imagine standing there at the sea
together with millions of your fellow
Jewish brothers and sisters. The sea is
raging.
Behind you are the thunderous sounds of
the Egyptian chariots making their way
in your direction. And then you hear
Moshe Rabbenu declaring, "Al tira'u, do
not be afraid. Ityatzvu, stand firm.
U'ru et yeshuat Hashem. You're going to
see the salvation of God that he's going
to create for you today. All you have to
do is march forward."
And you're afraid.
But suddenly
you see Nachshon ben Aminadav running
into the sea
and amazingly
you see the sea breaking opened
but only to a certain extent.
You see that this is a b'kiya.
You witness the sea breaking apart but
just a little bit.
And then you notice that all your fellow
brothers and sisters are taking steps
into that small opening of the sea.
You see the faith and the trust that
they possess in those moments and you,
together with them, enter into a
semi-broken
sea
with great trust that Hashem is with
you.
And now
as you and the entire nation are taking
one step after the other into these into
this partially broken sea
the waters are ripping and tearing open
more and more in front of you as you
proceed into the ocean one step at a
time.
Says the Gaon of Vilna.
Imagine how much faith and trust Am
Yisrael displayed
that enabled the sea to be n'kera
to enable the sea to tear open as they
progressed further into it. You know
what that means?
It means that in the very beginning
Hashem was the one who was boke'a the
yam.
He was the one who broke the sea open
just enough for the people
to demonstrate their faith in him.
But the Jewish people were the ones who
were kore'a et hayam.
Through their tremendous faith and trust
that they displayed, Am Yisrael were the
ones who tore the sea apart with every
step of emunah and bitachon that they
took as they marched slowly into those
waters. Every step forward that they
took was walking into a world of
complete faith and trust in Hashem.
That's why the episode of the Yam Suf is
the place of faith that we have to go to
when we are tested in life.
This is the answer
to the question of what should I do? Do
I make aliyah? I'm afraid. I'm this. I'm
that. What's going to be with the war of
Gog u'Magog?
Kriyat Yam Suf is the answer of how a
Jew could survive this time period and
create miracles that no man has ever
seen. Every Jew with his footsteps of
faith can help to split the sea for the
nation to walk through to the other side
where the ge'ulah
awaits.
This is the amazing chiddush of the Gaon
of Vilna.
And what it teaches us is that many
miracles
are based on our actions.
You got to get up and leave the galut
and you have to come to Eretz Yisrael.
We have the ability through faith-based
actions to create miracles as grand as
the splitting of the sea.
Hakadosh Baruchu, God can produce any
miracle that he wants. He is hakol
yakhol. He can do anything and
everything. But he wants to see us
jumping into a raging sea with faith and
trust. He wants to witness
our emunah in those critical moments.
And once he sees us jumping into the
waters as difficult as it may be, when
he sees how we're willing to accept the
nisyonot, the challenges of life, when
he witnesses how we stand firm with
faith, how we're ready to overcome our
greatest fears and rely on him
that's when he's going to be boke'a the
yam. That's when God will will is going
to break the sea of life open just a
little bit for us to gather the strength
to forge through with great faith and
trust. That's when Hashem will offer us
the opportunity to be kore'a na yam, to
split the sea of life and walk through
safe safely to the other side
unblemished,
unharmed, and with renewed hope. That is
the lesson of kriyat Yam Suf and that's
the chizzuk that I want to offer every
single viewer, every person who has
doubts about making aliyah, every person
who is afraid of the war of Gog u'Magog,
every person who's even in Eretz Yisrael
and fears the sirens and is sitting in
the mamad with pachad, with fear. Don't
be afraid. Hashem will split the sea
open for you.
Which leads me to my final question to
you, Kovod HaRav. Our faith has to be
placed in the one and only true God.
Why are so many people
putting their faith and trust
in Adam, in a man?
They they they're relying on Trump.
They're relying on Bibi Netanyahu.
And what do you think the repercussions
of this would be?
I'll tell We say it every day in our
prayers, al tivtechu v'nedeivim v'ven
adam she'ein lo teshua.
Put not your trust in princes or the son
of man where in there can be no
salvation. And I hope they hear that in
the Vatican.
I hope they hear that in Rome. I hope I
hope Pope Leo hears those words and they
should echo in his head and he shouldn't
be able to sleep tonight. So that I
didn't make it up. He He says that this
is part of the Bible, the Book of
Psalms. So you should pay attention. I
wanted to just say I I enjoyed listening
to Holy Rabbis. I wanted to share this
with you
that you know when when Melachim, the
Book of Kings
begins with David HaMelech is dying.
That's how it begins and there's a big
crisis of who's going to take over and
it's solved with HaMelech. We
talked about this earlier.
And it's interesting that God comes to
Solomon. He was very very young fellow
at the time. He was just at bar mitzvah.
And he asked him, "What do you want? You
want wisdom? What do you want?" He said,
"I want wisdom." And he said, "Look,
I'll I'll give you everything. You'll be
peace in your life and tremendous wealth
and everything."
Now you think that HaMelech had
such a guarantee from God that he's
going to have no no king like him will
have what he had. In fact, those 80
years between David and are the
golden era of Jewish history.
Do you think that would just sit
back and do nothing? But he didn't. He
actually prepared himself to make sure
that the people were safe. So therefore,
it's true. We said to you earlier that
only Eretz Yisrael has God's hand is
upon this land. I beg you, would you
consider reading Zechariah perek bet
tonight? And I'm just going to tell warn
you that if you read it, you don't I
mean, commentaries are good. I trust me,
it's very easy to read. It tells exactly
what's going to happen. There's nothing
that you hear comes from me. But the key
is that we have to do our hishtadlus. It
says openly in verse 7 and 8 that I will
make even the chalashim, the weakest of
the Jews, cuz if these are Jews who came
out of the Holocaust, they'll be so
strong that they'll defeat their enemies
like David HaMelech, even like the
malachim. It says it openly. Please read
it for yourself. Don't take my word for
it. Read it for yourself. Therefore, if
we see in Tanakh to come to Eretz
Yisrael, the Vilna Gaon wanted so much
to come to Eretz Yisrael. He could not.
But he made sure his talmidim did. He
didn't say stay back in Europe.
>> [laughter]
>> Why Why do you want to come here, right?
So if these holy people wanted to come
here
now you can come here. Now the doors are
wide open. That's true that now it's a
little difficult as the flights have
gone down a little bit. But I always
notice this.
When I lived in America and I would get
on the phone with my cousins in in
Israel and you know, I'd see in the news
like there's a whole balagan and I ask,
"Why are you so calm? Why aren't you
going crazy, right? Don't people ask
you, aren't you Why are you scared,
right?" And I never understood why
aren't you petrified? So truth is that
this is the place where you'll have
peace. In chutz la'aretz, it's a big
problem. Cuz in chutz la'aretz, you're
you're not in a you're not in a proper
homeostasis. You're not in a place
that's m'yushav dik. This is the place
to be. And but nevertheless, we have to
fight this fight. We're told openly in
Tanakh and Hakadosh Baruchu will deliver
your our enemies into your hands and
eventually the words of Isaiah 60 will
happen. "Arise and shine for your light
has come. Kings will go by your light."
Isaiah 60 verse 1 through 3. The sons of
them that afflicted you will come bowing
to you. Isaiah 60 verse 14. Means the
sons of your enemies will come. Please
read Isaiah 60 for yourself. I know
there's some of you going, "I never read
Isaiah 60." This is a good time to
start. But if you don't read the words
in the vi'im everything that's happening
now is going to seem very strange to you
and you're going to become frightened
and not feel secure because never have
you haven't read the words that are
available to you. And if you don't read
Hebrew, you have ArtScroll. They did a
great job. Read it. It's there. It's
available.
You don't need me.
That's it.
Wow, Kovod HaRav.
Thank you so much for giving of your
time and I want to just tell you you
said about hishtadlut. I want to tell
you I hope you advertise it for us as
well. I am running a worldwide campaign
trying to urge every single Jew in the
world
to
to observe the Shabbat HaGadol
k'hilchata.
The Gemara of Ta'anit, as I'm sure you
know states
that
Bnei Yisrael Mesharmim if all of Israel
would observe just one Shabbat
K'tikuna
meaning appropriately
Miyad Ayah Ben David Ba.
Mashiach would immediately come. And so
I have a worldwide campaign
to encourage every single Jew in the
world no matter where he is
to please keep the Shabbat HaGadol
sacred and holy. Shabbat HaGadol is the
Shabbat prior to the Pesach holiday.
It's going to take place on March 27th
in the evening, sundown, and it ends on
March 28th after do you see three medium
visible stars in the heavens. We urge
every single person to keep the Shabbat.
Who knows? Maybe in your merit put in
your merit when we open the door on the
Pesach holiday to open the door to
Eliyahu HaNavi
he will actually be there
granting us the merit to to experience
the Geulah and telling us, "By the way
Chol HaMoed
Mashiach is coming."
Be'ezrat Hashem so
maybe you can also advertise it by you
and tell everybody Shabbat HaGadol and
maybe just to sign off I want to thank
you so so very much for giving us your
time and you gave us so much time and
for inspiring us with your words of of
wonder and and knowledge. Thank you so
very much. Hashem Yishmorcha
V'yivarechcha V'yimalei Kol Mishalot
Libecha Letovah U'livrachah. Hashem
should protect you and keep you safe,
give you tremendous Nachat Ruach and
bless you with protection and and should
give you always divine assistance in
everything that you do. Please Brother
Rav, can you end this session by giving
the whole world a Bracha? We're living
in a city where a prophets once lived.
His name is Zephaniah. He walked the
streets of this holy city where most of
Tanakh was written.
And they said that days are coming, says
the Lord, that all the nations will
speak Besafah Berurah. All the nations
will speak in a pure speech. May it be
Zechut. We are now living in this time.
You have to understand that. We're
living in this Sha'at HaGeulah, the time
when our sages tell us we will
understand these words better than they
could understand them.
This is the time now that we we have to
unite together to welcome Mashiach
Tzidkeinu who is coming very quickly in
our time. We're coming to Nisan. I I
don't We are Purim when Haman is killed.
This was We we we heard the Megillah
this year, right? It was unbelievable.
Mamash unbelievable. We heard the
Megillah and Haman is killed. So it's
Mamash we're living here right now. This
is the Sha'at HaGeulah. It's time, but
we have to be united as one heart as the
Jews were building the second Temple.
You have to understand Navi soon only
we'll have Megillat Esther in the Torah.
So that's coming up soon.
I thank you very very much for
allowing me on. I enjoy every word. I
love listening and not talking when
you're on because No, I tell you you
have such such You have very lucky
students I really all over the world.
Your Torah is spreading and Baruch
Hashem Hashem should give you such
strength that you should continually go
