this is your rachmael milstein and
you're watching akira minute
some of the most vexing problems that
exist in kirov is how are you makar of
your own relatives
because after all in every relationship
there exists some baggage there's
history there's always something there
that complicates the situation
in addition to that relatives feel
judged by us when we suggest something
to them to do with any kind of
religiosity what's the matter i'm not
religious enough for you
so therefore this is a situation that's
always laden with a tremendous amount of
problems
at the same time we feel the closest to
these people and we really feel like it
is incumbent upon us to play a role in
bringing them back to country we owe
these people ania irhquiten those who
are closest to us in fact we have the
greatest acharas for so what is it that
we can do
first thing i like to tell people is the
first thing that is critically important
is you pick up a phone and you say hello
just create a comfortable relationship
create a regularity of contact you call
up to wish a happy birthday you call up
before a hanukkah and you say nothing
very fancy or religious this is such an
important and warm time in judaism i
wanted to share it with you and just say
hello send a little honey dish before
rosh hashanah have a zcr you're not
giving them any kind of moisture you're
not drawing them into any kind of
philosophical conversations but what you
are doing is you're re-establishing the
connection or the relationship and no
cure of can ever happen without that so
it is my suggestion that if you have a
relative that you haven't spoken to in a
long time that's way too long whatever
time it is it's way too long pick up the
phone say hello reestablish the
connection and in that way you'll never
ever know what could follow you have no
idea what can lead what where that can
lead to so please do pick up a phone
re-establish contact and see what
happens this is your rahmeel milstein
and you've been watching at kira minute
