A Journey Through Tragedy and Hope

[Music] the terrorist like sh on him my father died my mama get hurt with a brain damage my sister ta get hurt the I saw everything in in his eyes um after the shiv I realized that um my mom was still like she didn't wake up uh yet and my father died so my husband and me took like four brother and and sister Foster they came to live with us live with us for 3 years the was like after the pigu was really hard time for him to wake up in the morning to theiva to deal with like he saw everything there it's was not easy for him to continue and I I remember I just like drive and I cry and I cry and I was pray listen God our family need now we need something good to happen because it's it's too hard for us [Music] we know k menal for a long time since my father died and it was like a light in all the darkness in the beginning everybody help everybody around but it's really hard after and they listen what we need and they help us I think it's not just what they give it's how how they saw us how they like help us how they be there all the time and it's became like a family for us we know each other with the families I remember it was hard time for him in high school and when he have the scholarship he was like so happy to like okay going to do another test I going to do it again like a lot of support a lot like to help to push again and again even if it's hard and he was like so happy to come to all the events and to to get what they have and and it's important important for us because it's really hard to know that you need help um we know more people actually but when it's happened you need you know that you need it and we need the love and we need the support and K Mandel uh give it to us my phone ring and I so calling me why you calling me now I have to C to I going to came to you like 30 minutes from now I going to take your car it's a war I have to go with my Soldier really fast to save people like what he came here and I I didn't let him go and then he took me gently but strong say like Shir we don't have time we need to fight now and I have to go I love you so much I just hold him so hard just like don't don't go please please don't go just be safe and I said we cannot lose [Music] you [Music] we need everybody to be strong strong Jewish strong people we need to really support the kids to give them like the best that we can and the give it for the kids because they know one day they going to be older people doing alone need to be stronger need to be like able to live [Music] [Applause] life okay so hi everybody um just a few words um actually I don't have any words to say thank you for RAB dman for Ken Mel for all the help s my since my father died my older brother died and now my little bride brother died in Gaza um so first of all thank you so much I can't explain you how Darkness come after the soldiers come to the house and it became harder and harder but really your support is light for us and even in that moment believe me we hold the pain every day even like every moment but for now I can feel for one moment we share together the pain love and hope so thank you for for everybody for the support we can feel it in Israel for so many people that you help for um and and I really want to say thank you and also we have like a little gift uh for my brother memory de that he was really strong and last thing um it's really like a hero how he died in Gaza a fight but I I tell you what life is much harder and to wake up every day and to do meaningful and love and to be better people that what he did and that what I asked from you to do also everybody together so thank you [Applause] in the S piece bag at your [Applause] table there is a little package and an ID an ID tag for each of you which was the momentum from her brother shom my dear friends
