A Diyuk from Rav’s Temperament

You know, we talk a lot about how Rav was a shaskin. Rav says in Hilchos Deos, "Omru al Rav, talmid Rabbeinu Hakadosh, shelo sach sicha betela kol yamav." Right, he never spoke a a sicha betela. Very much like the Rambam. No one knows the makor for this Rambam. Kessef Mishneh says that the Gemara says it about Rav Eliezer, Rav Yehudah ben Zakai in Sukkah daf chof ches. Aval al Rav, with regards to Rav, nobody was able to find it. So, you see the sensitivity that Rav had to the idea of being quiet. Rav himself was a shaskin Rav. The Gemara says regarding Rav that "Hod ha Rav lav befeirish itmar, ela michlal itmar." But again, over the years we've mentioned so many more subtle Gemaras that come so to life when we appreciate and we internalize this idea that Rav was a shaskin. I think this Gemara screams it because you have the talmidim of Rav, they they want to ask Rav a shaila. You want to ask your rebbe a shaila. Imagine you have to sit with your chavruta, how should we ask? Should we ask one? And what if he tells me this? And what if he tells me that? I don't know if you would ask me, if he tells me this, I'll uh I'll I'll I'll I'll send him another text message. And I'll ask him, you know, can you explain it to me? You know, what exactly did you mean? But Rav was a shaskin. And Rav was a shaskin in Hilchos Talmud Torah. "Lo ilmei Yishmael Adam ba talmido be derech ketzara." And you see even more than that because you see that they would be even more than that because you see that they would be Rav's temperament. You ever see such a thing in your whole life? Two is in a veil, one is a treif. Rav doesn't do that. Rav says kiss the Marishu and just based on the facial expressions of Rav, based on that we will be able to extrapolate. This is how the Rav love the Itzma Gag Algag. That's mama's what is it? This is like next level where we're being the temperament of Rav but this is all Rav with the Itzma. This is Rav Itzma.
