Day #172–Rambam DAILY Sefer HaMitzvos

today's day number 172 of our daily study ofz in the three chapters of day of M we're still in MIM chapters 11 12 and 13 these are laws of invalidated sacrifices or things that can go wrong when offering sacrifices we have two Mitzvah today both prohibitions negative commandment 130 is the prohibition against eating sacrificial meat that has become ritually defiled ritually imp pure Tom that is the uh negative commandment 130 now negative commandment 129 you're going to if I say it quickly it's going to sound the same as what we just said but try to listen carefully and you're going to see that it's different see if you can catch the difference uh negative command 129 is consuming meaning eating sacrificial meat while ritually impure you get the difference okay the previous Mitzvah that we mentioned was a Prohibition against eating sacrificial meat which had contracted ritual impurity the meat itself became ritually impure negative commandment 129 this Mitzvah is the meat is pure the meat hasn't contracted ritual impurity but the person eating it has contracted ritual impurity and is therefore not supposed to be eating of these holy Foods the sacrifices okay those are our mitzvah for today we'll continue with more related uh Mitzvah related to this this topic of invalidated sacrifices and things that go wrong when offering sacrifices uh we'll see you then tomorrow God willing
