Hello. Shalom aleichem. Welcome
everyone. We continue in safer Tomer
Devorah.
Today we're going to learn the eighth
and final way to effectuate chesed in
shamayim.
And one does that by havas shalom bein
adam l'chavero, by bringing peace
between man and his friend. Who are the
two friends in the shamayim? She'im had
tiferes side. Tiferes
which is the
sfirah between chesed and gevurah.
Also tiferes is also often referred to
as all six sfirot. But here it refers to
the midah of what is called the kav
hamtzai, the middle grounds between
chesed and gevurah.
Which is also referred to as
Yud-Keh-Vav-Keh.
And yesod, which is the sixth sfirah.
Which is connected to the milah.
The Now these are two friends.
However, by nature they're very
different. Lafamim yisrach kuzam zeh
Sometimes they
become distant one from the other.
V'tzarich hashlamah, you need to make
peace between them.
Ul'saknam, and to fix them.
Sheyihu shavim, that they should be
equal. V'niksharim yachad. And tied
together be'ahava v'chibah, with love
and endearment.
Just like in this world, when there's
friendship and love, there is shefa and
there's giving. When there is animosity,
then the channels of hatavah are closed.
V'zeh al y'dei kishrei hamasa hatov.
This is all through
This is accomplished through good deeds.
In other words, even though as we're
going to see the most direct way to
effectuate p- peace between the various
sfirot is to bring peace through to a
man and his friend, to bring shalom
between two parties. Likewise,
But but
in a more expanded view, through any
good deed, one thereby brings peace
between one sfirah and the other.
Shek'she
hayesod Now now let's explain how
sometimes there could be a breakup
between the sfirot. Shek'she hayesod
noiteh el hasmol,
because when the midah of yesod turns to
the left,
v'hatiferes el hayamin, and tiferes
turns to the right.
So sometimes the midah of yesod could
get too left-handed.
And sometimes tiferes could get too
right-handed.
Az heim negdiyim zeh lazeh, they are now
opposites. Ad she-
What does this mean? It means as
follows. To Typically, tiferes is the
kav hamtzai, the middle grounds between
chesed and gevurah.
So you wouldn't say tiferes is more
rachamim than din, but it is slightly
more inclined to midas rachamim than
midas hadin. Yesod, on the other hand,
is connected to the milah. The milah,
specifically, it's connected to zarah.
The semen, which the zarah encapsulates
all of the forces of man.
All of man's ability. Namely, all of
man's capabilities, whether it's
eyesight, hearing, heartbeat, breathing,
are all encapsulated in that one little
droplet.
So the ability to confine all of man's
ability into one droplet is midas hadin.
That's called din. So yesod is primarily
midas hadin. Tiferes is inclined toward
rachamim.
And sometimes they draw apart.
So what you need to do is at she-
hayesod yiteh el hayamin, kemo hu, you
need to turn yesod to the right, just
like tiferes. V'chashe'eim
V'chashe'eim chashvei shalom yesh is a
pegam shel avon ba'olam, when there are
infractions of sin in the world, az yesh
sin'ah, now we have hatred, v'negdiyus
bein shnayim, and we have
opposition between two of them.
V'ein yichud nikshar bein hasfirot klal,
and there's no unity that is tied
between the sfirot at all. So there's no
unity that is connected between the
sfirot at all.
The So what we need to do is we need to
make sure that tiferes and yesod are
both right right-turned,
both toward chesed. B'al derech zeh
yihyeh gam kein bein kashrus sfirot,
she'heim yamin usmol. This needs to be
accomplished through any sfirot which
are to the right and the left. Namely,
chochmah and binah. Chochmah's on the
right, binah is on the left. We need to
make shalom between them. Chesed on the
right, gevurah on the left. Shalom
between them. Netzach on the right, hod
on the left. We need to come We need to
bring shalom.
Bein hachochmah v'havinah, bein hachesed
v'hagvurah, bein hanetzach v'hahod,
tzarich l'hachil shalom beinayim.
V'hainu ahava shalom bein adam
l'chavero. That is the way to accomplish
making peace between man and his friend
upstairs.
We also have to make peace between
husband and wife. Who's the husband? The
husband is
tiferes.
Yud-Keh-Vav-Keh.
And
the wife is malchus, the shechinah.
The shechinah's aleph dalet nun yud.
So bein ish l'ishto, d'hainu hayesod.
Now this I don't really get. Not that I,
you know, I fully understand any of it,
but we just said that we need to make
friendship between tiferes and yesod.
Tiferes is more right-wing leaning,
yesod is more left-leaning. Now we're
trying to make peace between husband and
wife, husband being tiferes, wife being
malchus, and the midah of shalom is
yesod. Uvein uv'chein bein ish l'ishto,
d'hainu hayesod shalom bein hatiferes
v'hamalchus.
V'chol kayotzei bazeh. So tiferes is the
ish, malchus is the ishah.
And all other similar types of shalom,
which is gemilus chesed on high. Now,
just a few pointers.
We know that
um
the sha- through the Tomer Devorah says,
through kishrei hamasa, through good
actions, we create peace.
The Sha'arei Orah of Rabbi Yosef
Gikatilla says, come and see the
greatness of tzaddikim, who uphold Torah
mitzvot, they have the strength to be
m'chaber the sfirot and to make peace
between upper and lower worlds.
Now, regarding what we spoke before,
the midah of yesod incorporates all the
sfirot, and its tafkid is to sort of
confine and encompass all the sfirot.
That's why the midah of yesod is also
called kol,
because it's the center of all forces.
Just like a tipah of zarah incorporates
all the forces of man.
So yesod is sort of more to the left,
which is gevurah, it's tzimtzum.
And it uses the koach of the smol to be
m'tzamtzem everything into one nekudah.
On the other hand, tiferes is more midas
harachamim, and therefore we need to
make shalom between tiferes and yesod.
Now, tiferes
is also the zachar.
This is very interesting concept, we
mentioned this in the past, maybe uh
counterintuitive, but in kabbalah, the
ish is midas harachamim, and the ishah
is midas hadin.
The av is midas harachamim, the mother
is midas hadin. K'rachamim av al banim,
not k'rachamim eim
al banim. K'rachamim av al banim. Av is
midas harachamim, eim is midas hadin.
Now,
the main way this is accomplished, not
only through good actions in general,
but if down here in this world there's
simchah, tov, ahava, shleimus,
then there will be that kind of
phenomenon upstairs between the various
sfirot. So again, one thing I didn't
understand is at the beginning of the
paragraph he says we should make shalom
between tiferes and yesod, and at the
end of the piece, tiferes is the man and
yesod and malchus is the ishah, and
yesod is the way with which we make
peace. But in general, the midah of
yesod is the midah of shalom.
It is the midah which is meiletz tov
between Havayah and Adnos.
And Rabbi Said, that is all for today.
Perhaps tomorrow we'll review these
eight, but we'll see.
Uh stay tuned. Wishing everyone an
amazingly terrific day.
And uh
