okay in fact I hate it I hate the politics the campaign Seasons this is schmitting and everyone is at his Chavez throats and I enjoy the public service part so um kleinished evil a company a factory in um in Westchester County in again issues with the local County Factory by the business in a flickouts the titles in um getting them and White Plains is the judicial community and nitrously and the bottom line is and I got in touch with a County legislator a local County legislator was a mind as Davis um uh representation so this is the state level this is the county legislative um uh state senator an assembly member there's inside positions at the state level the two houses of the legislator 's a city council uh in butterfly commercial Senator Felder is the state senator this is the Upper House you've been in the State Assembly the lower House of the federal level was the president with two houses of Congress has to do also to New York are Governor versus the executive and two houses of the legislator yay the law mispassing by the hazard and signed into law by the governor on the city level the local level city council not two houses of the legislator one the city council and the mayor's the executive so I'm in it legislative a legislator is exactly what exactly what they call the legislative to legislate it's past bills gazettes miss dodgerheim the state legislator okay this is comprised of legislators in and the budget has to pass the budget has to pass the legislative the legislative votes on the budget and obviously the governor signs into into law so yay the law offices a state law had to pass the legislator and signed into law by the governor in order for it to become law so basically a legislator might Eine was arbit in a position for government without uh without the power it's a Zana valved in lawmaking a legislator is a lawmaker got a problem at the gazettes the legislative component for man job of a legislator can organize in their position foreign in uh so I got in touch with this County legislator in Westchester and Eric Mighty has been a real important person though administrators Villages that are in Westchester is Marty Markowitz of course Marty Marcus that's it foreign yes wait who is this Oh I thought it was the only reason why I came to the foreign oh [Music] you know the Hope in the village administrative The Village the county executive's office executive's office a lawyer fast forward Hashem uh foreign [Music] government is here for the people not not to get in the way of people so did this is [Music] and that's really the first time and I developed relationships through that and so funny with their local politics in Brooklyn with the Brooklyn politicians got to know some people in the Bronx and a full of demos is this is what I'm gonna do foreign you know there is [Music] and I just really did it well you know I got to know people this is a business of relationships my deaf building relationships and ins the mega Warden um people try to cancel people right away and mentioned an elected official that you don't agree with housing issues second on education issues or the elected official you don't agree on whatever issue you don't agree with everyone 100 of the time particularly in our state of New York you know this is a liberal estate but the art is it's a threaten areas where you could agree agree on Mid give this the legislators despite the factors of you're not on the same page and you build those relationships uh again my interview uh recently and uh in one of these uh these magazines and And the reporter must reflect what was the one thing that you weren't prepared for you did not know like I said this is you know went to speak up I want to say something is equally as important when not to speak up Solutions was by the way oftentimes turns out dementia and so anyway um but I just got into it and um I guess it was it was gradual to me how have you always think of Shane if I said who you know mentioned get involved in politics uh or public service or government for different reasons and uh with me is this given a goal to get into oh sorry this is what I want to do the people to get into it I want to run for office one day a goal in fact I feel it after it's been it's been given in the line I was always a behind the scenes person then um breaking points I was in it but it was never really um am I gonna do this guy uh consulting firm we did some campaigns and uh normal campaigns is not a vague where you get to work with people and you build those relationships and we find a given you know state senators his grandfather redistricting gated saying the redistricting yes is giving the recent redistricting is [Music] uh in this in the country in um maybe to oil them locally offered or response to the census civil court in sicknesses and the male also found the form they have a shot in America oh okay uh in accordingly to childmen the representation New York and Marshall obesity congressional seat yeah the population in New York found of a population in under the states moved mention a Vega moved in general people changed the the amount of people the residents of the state of New York no it was up and down yeah so do 435 members of Congress there are 435 members of Congress and in New York the Marshall yea the member of Congress represents something like 800 something thousand people so it's based on it's based on the population but on the state level yeah the assembly member represents 138 000 people gave the state senator represent 333 000 people so as I gained is a drove in in in population foreign [Music] is um in in 2010 is enzyme created from based on the 2010 census actually effective 2012 the super Jewish seat in the states anatomas again even this is the senate seat was somehow that Representatives do on butterpark and Flatbush um far Dame is a tiled and dry under the districts in um infant is giving Senator Kevin Parker liaison so that was my first government job after that in 2010 appointed by the State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli my pointed out on senior advisors some golf on the campaign in 2010 as well after the campaign [Music] we should go out for dinner one night and sure our problem and uh with the controller thank you for the visit again of Lexington Avenue has an episode of Lexington and then the high in the 30s some adult gazetson so we got some some dry shoes campaign what went right what went wrong would you consider coming working for me and um that's that's really when it when it happened I wasn't ready for foreign [Music] to them and their bills and trying to Albert and with the legislators women with freed explained ye the Lord by the houses of the legislator as you know they should consider these bills uh which is a good exercise you get to work with all the legislators so you build these relationships so um I did that for four years in 2014. for the City of New York for the mayor switched officers office and uh how did it happen at that time the mayor Mega effect if I would consider it's funny because I'm got uh they actually reached out to me earlier in uh I don't believe it's right the controller was up for re-election in 2014. I don't think it's right to leave my boss before his re-election after the election we'll we'll have a conversation they followed up again in july-ish uh about the controllers in 2014 as a competitive election it was like he's gonna win it's not competitive like you know let's wait till after the election uh and after uh controlled the Napoli won re-election in December 2014 uh I joined the mayor's office de Blasio May de Blasio is um a lot of the responsibility mentioned Weiss but they made the city of New York Qatar office in Albany and uh it's not it's office Klein office just a handful of people the federal level the state level the local level at the end of the day a local municipality is still subject to the state you know and whenever the local municipality wants to do something uh oftentimes Dolphins State authorization foreign [Applause] governments and governors and Mayors never got along uh and by the way Giuliani and Pataki de Blasio and Cuomo they were at each other's throats nine but part of the problem because it's structurally built that way you know what's the saying being May of the city of New York is the next best position after the president and hold on a sec you know speed cameras without albany's authorization can shunkan red light cameras without research is New York City roads games about deny a fight about mayoral control you know de Blasio is to see what it was up for renewal the only reason why the mayor of the city of New York has control over the school system New York City Doe is Val Albany get the mayor control of the education department by the way it's just it just medical control is just a chain on the Bloomberg so for example board the mayor hotness hot control of the Kentucky if Albany doesn't renew our mayoral control then it goes back to the old system size the bill sunsets so do in the bill let's do a uh uh you know a quote-unquote expiration date in madafas Renoir New York City was required to shut down all speed cameras in the city of New York well Albany yeah I think it was in 2018 and the cameras by the way yeah but uh but the New York City was required to shut off all all cameras while Albany hotness renewed the bill at the time the bill the bottom line is it wasn't passed and and those things happened so the mayor's office hot within the mayor's office is the office of State legislative affairs and zeissen and uh zaison responsible for others was the city Duff in the state legislatively laws budgetary this is the city became a sargilt from the state in the Bible [Music] whatever whatever it may be and regulatory yada City agency hota state agency above that so namuso Department of Health the health department at the state level could issue regulations modern and New York City Department of Health is now required to follow in the state guidance while the city is ibic into the state obviously the state is ibic into the feds cancer John you can't be you have to be compliance with the law above yours which issues around New York City was still under the regulations in New York City so New Jersey is a separate state so the the city laws in its own boundaries but it's on contradictory to the state can't undo something [Music] can see like yeah so like the city can yes cancer state has its own rules exactly what you were working for the mayor so the mayor's office uh benefiting in this office of State legislative affairs and we were doing a lot of the Albany uh stuff that City Hall needed from Albany legislatively budgetary uh and Regulatory so in some kind of music the liaison the middleman between city government and state government obviously is to do higher level mayor and Governor talking directly and give us but um agency has requests in the state uh whether the City Department of Transportation daf approvals or the uh whatever it is as a Daphne the State Department of Transportation so throughout the Kansas City city government of the enzyme given this office that handled the state relations for for the city and until 2018 well there's a long introductions in 2018 uh my predecessor though if I can assemblement represent to do uh water park and Flatbush for uh 36 years uh in uh in 2018 when it announced as a guidance for the elections is figured it's not easy from January through June you know you're away from a family um in my case tuna fish and rice cakes is a favorite every night for supper [Laughter] but uh you have to be there I mean in order to vote you have to be presentation also do committee meetings passing of the bills yay the bill in order to get to the floor there's a process right has to go through committees so generally in the morning hours of Home committee meetings and then we go to the floor later foreign by the way um so uh I have a I have a um regular text I'm old school um when I decided to run for office social media that was the first tweet I I uh I ever sent out in um but even now that I do do Twitter um notifications on social media I I only go on to Twitter as well we you could put something out there I mentioned saying was the test but the Manchester same on Twitter I think I'm better off um it's good I came to terms with the fact when you represent the district of 138 000 people any decision you're going to make or position you're going to take so guys I mentioned with some essential ism and people like to be very loud people like to be at times very I don't want to use the word rude but you know particularly on the fake names it's okay issues communicate overall and easy is after all WhatsApp so we as a harvesting chicken files whatever it is visually communicates to a mention when the overall mentioned they serve as the community think of the community so if I got just a few days ago I met good afternoon foreign the surveillance camera emailed it worked out very well on the on the day-to-day this is communication you know a lot of communications I know how to turn on a computer I know how to use the email in groups non-stop by the way it's a full-time job just Zan up to date with the Adam's comments in the the Blackberry BM for example Blackberry Blackberry BMS I had to accept it WhatsApp is the Blackberry over the keypad it was the best it was the best but anyways this is a million ever since I'm gonna do it um so obviously why he decided not to run for re-election but it's not easy it's not easy so um uh decided and it was it wasn't as this is an affiliate remain involved in government for all those years he mentioned the repost you know those you consider running foreign if I wanted to put myself through it um special day since this is am I do I want to be that person do I want to be the face do I want to be I Am Naturally a shy person hello when you work for others you're in the blobs and when you're the elected official you have to put yourself out there all the time even naturally is damage I show up to an event on the stage in nehemism naturally I am a shy person and uh do I wanna do I want everybody says I'm telling you the truth no it's amazing it's amazing to hear just the opposite was the mindset no but them as well it's an adjustment it was a position it is still an adjustment for me Alice is that it all started out in in some Spanish it doesn't sound like you were shy then I wasn't shy of you like amongst my friends shy on a grand scale finish the you know the minister wanted to put myself out there correct by the way so yeah because managed anything even by the corner yeah but anyway uh and listen to put your wife through it through it it's an adjustment for myself statement look the phony call the middle complain and we don't have to no no no no no no no no no the time when I get in phonical yes [Laughter] the ones that really bother me yeah are when the zooks something stupid that's those are the ones they're really about if I pick up the volume I can handle it I can handle it um I think during covet he's given you know and um and glimish was just as frustrated for me than than uh than for everyone else and in Assange in in positions the results under the directions you know there is was it was it was bad we were fighting Instagram Saturn that you try to work from within and uh trying to make this interesting a little bit of a deeper dive once again the red zones is the second the second uh lockdown yeah um with the governor's office uh uh schools Masonville reopened no matter what this is not normal mechanical I mean the answer red zones were wrong and by the way the transcripts and Department of Health and Attorney General's office mentioned the health department were confused as developments the red zones in the red zones shaking to schools outside the stores yeah the cutoff of the red zone is making it up 39th Street so the store on 40th Street has to be closed all you did is good for Dimensions went to 42nd Street now walk to 38th Street it never made sense but anyways in the red zone and the report effect versus there is that's exactly my point yes this is a Civic bus that came from out of the Red Zone and coming to the restaurant speaking with gestander within the Red Zone in Spring Valley a school bus rolls up yeah so we saw a school bus in the red zone that has a school in the north Red Zone which which actually illustrates a little bit the clown show of the policy that the governors is implementing so a child from the Red Zone can go to a local a nun so second levels um foreign er's office and we were working with them on a reopening plan for schools in the red zones in Amazon still I didn't attack the governor those few days while we're working on something something big something good um and I didn't want to you know my goal was to get it done we had a a framework for what it will take to reopen the schools obviously they wanted sanitize whatever whatever masks whatever six feet fine belongs are real structured framework that could work for all schools uh you know let's anyway uh noisy in the backgrounds as a as to get away from the noise and I had a conversation with the secretary to the governor and we were like ready to go with an announcement like the governor's office we came up with a plan back and forth everyone seemed to be more or less on board um let's move forward and um we'll just say it was a very bad call the call went South uh [Music] you know we know all your schools are open the governor's executive orders the law the law is the law we need everyone to shut down in order for us to move forward and I know from an argument says you're so fixated he's so stuck on this closure this is the brain in the closure my reopening plan I haven't aggressive problems kind of glitenish as a guide nozan closure fine took us 24 hours on a real reopening plan if there is going to be a real reopening plan I'm a candidate and then what the closure should look like okay yeah anyway the call went South and um come on I actually believe came into the conversation with the intention of it's not like the call went South is uh uh released a video uh King the governor I really went after him uh [Music] rhetoric has become darker and his tactics more heavy-handed making matters worse the governor has decided to turn coronavirus into an Orthodox Jewish issue and it's funny because when you see it from the other side you don't see the full picture yeah what's going on here but believe it or not that video as upset as they were with me and they were very very upset and they made it very clear to me uh this is actually giving what got us to turn the page because like the Albert Smith for four days on a reopening plan for schools and you are then intentionally blowing it up mine so anyway no they didn't mind anyway we were um but that's what got us uh uh to refocus on that plan this is announced by the press conference the the reopening uh plan for schools it was a Friday 12 o'clock and social anyways and that's what got us to reopening schools even in the red zones is it's you know these things are are difficult but dementia on the outside sometimes satanish as I've been still giving fayana poor take it was because of a real plan and um it's my responsibility to for stein Yana mentions responsibility yeah I'm saying again I mention his frustration in a filler Jana man she's upset yeah foreign tonight foreign let me say this in and I'll believe it at that um it's quite painful when akined Israel really yes so look mentions and upset is upset but sometimes there's a bigger picture and 51st Street on the corner by the post office uh foreign [Music] I need to speak to you for a minute uh you know it wasn't the the best time of the president if you can make it quick I mean I don't want to be rude if you can make it quick but no no no I have to ask you for mahila no problem no listen to my story versus as uh when I decided to run for office she read up on me she was very impressed see the guy you worked your way through government I read I was really I was a big fan of yours and I wrote positive I wrote positive stuff on social media about you then a few weeks before your election you rolled out an endorsement with Chuck Schumer I couldn't understand what you did you lost my vote Schumer I can't understand it was I wrote negative things about you I did not vote for you okay fast forward and they were going through the Green Card process I don't know if you know the Green Card process but Bashas you're going through the process you can't leave the country having said that cans becoming a waiver by the way this was before this was before covet and you trusted the title as I'm gevaldein see The Sibling so whatever it was The Sibling is good evening I didn't work on it one of my staffers in the office of God and we got them to waiver the child how did I get it we're State office how did we get it we worked with Chuck Schumer's office to get them the wipe success I realized you were right and I was wrong you have to just you have to work with these people I get it listen I understand but the reality is I also need to be the bigger person of first time no matter what I do I'm gonna upset some people by the way I'll buy this out a Democrat or the Republican whatever I'm gonna do I'm gonna upset some people but why am I doing this did this as a result Canon health for mention so Canon building those relationships with under officials on different branches of government the reality is position on on politics whether you like him or not his policies on the constituent Services front healthful mansion office so um foreign you know their reaction and they have a right to to have that reactions despite that an effective legislator not a legislator I don't do this elected official I don't do this for fame an effective legislator in order to Be an Effective legislator you sometimes particularly in a state like New York and we're surrounded by Mansion was sometimes almonds sleep sometimes they just don't agree with us sometimes I'll let you finish the sentence foreign well I'll share a few stories um life and death situation foreign uh but let me go ahead and got into the to the to the uh what's up guys let alone what uh and this is actually the reason for us is mentioned foreign [Music] you know buying governments he says a utility company she system bureaucratic whatever it may be so my colleagues uh included even the chairman of the health committee uh the godfreed the chairman of the insurance committee Uh Kevin Cahill from the insurance company this is this is a real one this is life and death I'm I'm busy in I think the heads and the Tri-State region for the for the insurance company already from the organization Zone we're gonna make this happen hold them back off we were able to get it done in you know my phone so generally my voicemails I also two or three voicemail [Music] like it's just when I'm depressed it's in Albany there are some very dark days over there nice on the Family Ein minion in the morning if you miss it tuna Fisheries yeah you look like that person no I drink coffee all day very unhealthy you look like that person but I drink coffee all day but a meal is so I so but simple person this is this is tough issues uh and navigating through all of this with your colleagues and results National the position that you take but why you're taking that position in vusden perspective is again the issue from doing measles the vaccines yeah which turned out to be a very very controversial issue a bill on the floor to to repeal the religious exemptions fin vaccines I voted no on that bill but in hogaretta on the bill on the floor I voted against repealing it but okay foreign that legislates eine's religious beliefs whether exemption within the religions and the Eternal issues my concern a given forget about vaccines forget about whether it's a zolzan a religious exemption that was that was addressing that was addressing you know including exemptions all exemptions seeing a bill on the floor that solely focused on religious exemption and I want to explain my vote again regardless of where you are on the whether the exemption should exist or not my point was we shouldn't legislate someone's religious beliefs that is wrong whether I agree with the exemption I don't agree with the exemption as other so since the position was denounced says why are you taking this position where are you coming from and you know you have to be clear about that and in orchidan conference in some size conference which is um the enzitimate members only with the speaker and the leadership and we go over is was the majority conference wants to wants to push through and whatnot but the time Enderman on the floor voting for the most part is the cake is baked already in conference is the heated conversation is is the and and to be honest with you that's also where you could have an impact so you know in this line of work you can't get what you want but you can move the needle so you could and sometimes that means that you ultimately have to vote Yes because the bill could have been a lot more a lot worse you mentioned when hold on a second yes I've already asked well I don't like the bill I'm with you but the bill was going to pass change so if I don't vote Yes I took myself off the table guns I don't know if that was on the air of the area New Yorker passed a gun law a few months ago after the United States Supreme Court ruled as the New York gun laws are unconstitutional the government and certification what they call the extraordinary session to pass a gun package you know in conference foreign New York had created what they call gun-free zones the signs Times Square of worship houses of worship we cancel guns to only exemptions are given military and law enforcement personnel if it was a cult II is all over New York in fact on private security outside an exemption for private security and by the way this is home private security it was something that I fought for and it was something was originally in Nish given in the in their package and after I raised it and guinea members on gazucht we agree it got added so whatever you think I should have done on that bill if I still should have been a a no or Danish the reality is you need to negotiate and get these things done from within the conference in Albany is what I'm in New York it's a very liberal state despite the losses that the Democrats had in the State Assembly this year it's still going to be a two to one majority it's 250 assembly members uh Indian assembly right now is do 107 Democrats 43 Republicans so in order to get something done in the majority conference has to be on board this might drive members find the 107 missions on a board if not they're not going to move the bill foreign my first bill that I got passed in uh in 2019 and I've been came into Albany actually dealt with this issue uh in my previous role when for the mayor HRA the Health and Human Services portfolio we're giving part of my portfolio in HRA was one of my agencies until my chosen to mention doing butter Park in our undergate that that benefit from the Summer Youth Employment Program syep youth Corp device the numbers are pretty high for uh youth corpses some Youth Employment Program is basically the summer months go we don't want our young adults during the summer months counselors and camps and so on and so forth so chosen to mention and and doing water park numbers are off but the year far cover thanks I don't want to throw out numbers in English speaker but thousand chosen to uh young adults knits in their program in is uh you earn twenty one hundred dollars if you're enrolled in this program Elton some got public assistance anxiety income the household income is to qualify for public assistance assistance it's also your main instances we mentioned omniskivist and Then followed in the public assistance it's a great thing I wish you could do it but don't do it so I introduced the bill uh to exempt the income from syep from some youth employment from the annual household income as it relates to public assistance so it doesn't go against an encounters which is an annual household income for public assistance um is government generally is very bureaucratic the bureaucrats haven't yeah to be pushed around and they mean the bills on the particularly initially well to what we call the domino effect right you're opening the door Hunter says days Morgan was exactly they didn't want to move my bill supposedly it's a member in some Youth Employment Program is a very popular program heavy heavy elected official wants to fight for more funding for summer youth employment and I won over members one by one the co-sponsor the bill co-sponsor mind even the sponsor of the bill it's my bill but you could co-sponsors like man Norman that off endorsements as an endorsement I'm co-sponsoring I like it I want the light over collected 78 co-sponsors 78 code sponsors majority of our conference wants to move the bill I basically forced a hand Isabella legislation [Music] the biggest piece of legislation that we actually pass is the budget gay Desu New York state is required to balance a budget unlike for example the federal government was runt on continuous resolutions in zimid pass in our budget says March 31st the last day of the fiscal year the fiscal year is the calendar year of Duff New York substantially equivalent education dates is the that complicated everything is the word substantially and the word equivalent is actually is actually contradictory in itself uh and was never defined in law in 2014 is uh igeminated and final uh complaint against ishivas uh as they are not meeting the standards of providing a substantially equivalent education um at the time that it started by the way David Cameron is like Iron Man's disgruntled individual ex-husid left the community [Music] um never missed an opportunity to try to bash the community um the Educators by the city by the way um I was like on that side as if it's his own I I worked for the mayor's office when this started and um the Educators when this started to be honest with you didn't even think it's such a big deal um foreign you know we we could be proud of others should follow the education that we provide to our children to be honest with you uh we have longer school days our educational skills and critical thinking throughout the day kudish in secular are a lot more rigorous and deeper than the public school system and from there unfortunately this issue spiraled out of control to the extent as the Govern Abyssal uh political football so to speak um in 2022 this issue became about everything but education [Music] yeah the state of Azad you know like you're with us you're against US military substantially equivalent was never defined so the the New York State Department of Education which is a little not a little it's kind of independent they are not regulated by they're not under the governor's office Board of Regents this is the Board of Regents votes on regulation in those with gazettes so government is a very bureaucratic frustrating bureaucracy and the more complicated areas the government can't tackle or is afraid to tackle politicians don't want to don't want to touch on a independent authorities as it is a in size so for example if you look at government public transportation in New York is a disaster can we all agree MTA we will name the train foreign anyway but so what does the government do it's a disaster the MTA you can't you know they don't want to be responsible elected officials don't want to be responsible for they told me created an authority besides the MTA they are controlled by a board now who appoints to the board Governor the mayor Senate confirms government but sinished in this is the authorities says this is the board so instead that's not corruption every time every time every time the MTA loophole wants to raise the fair Heights the politicians home opinions [Music] take it back take it back take back the Authority for yourself I'm just MTA doesn't change this is to do a Public Service Commission in the state of New York they regulate all utility companies yeah Con Edison National Grid politicians don't want to be in charge of raising rates of a statement there's a Public Service Commission raising rates yeah the politicians should write to the Public Service Commission don't do it this is this is a reckless and my constituents can't afford it but those members to the Public Service Commission are appointed by politicians so I mentioned this opposite the offensive when they shirked the responsibility otherwise I'm created that framework so in the power of Education they do the Board of Regents the Board of Regents is are the ones who vote on all their regulations on uh on the Department's regulations so you have to give in uh the commissioner had rolled out new regulations you know you roll out regulations you try to get input from the open comment period and you really try to work together with stakeholders to whether we agree or disagree as long as I'm afraid vegan legislation you know whether you like the bill or not period again one big champ they have to go through the process obasanis given uh they weren't serious about about engaging and quite frankly understanding into schools by the board the region members of as the Board of Regents throughout the Kansas state yet the Regent the kimta unappointed region member and collectively zanzas mentioned in the state enabled girlfriends I never stepped for the Nigeria the bureaucrats they're appointed bureaucrats and their their now deciding uh uh all of this so in the current regulations uh is create the state created five different Pathways in which a school could choose which pathway they want to go einste's accreditation agency house assessments as the LSA which is the local school Authority but um but there's a real question whether government is interested in being what's government's motive over here what's the state's motive over here well the Muslims the LSA did the the one of the pathways is LSA which is the local school Authority uh so if I work with my local school Authority so for example New York City will be Department of Education New York City Department of Education they come into my school and they deem me substantially equivalent I'm good the state is going to say your local school Authority is good with it I'm good with it but just a couple of weeks ago uh let's do our school in in Williamsburg for example it was the New York Times did a whole follow-up story on this the day school the local school Authority with New York City Department of Education New York City Department of Education had recommended the state that they should be the school should be deemed substantially equivalent higang in the state I don't like how the city did it why they don't like it is like they didn't build So In The Weeds on like aside from showing uh grade by grade they want to see the how it integrates from grade to grade each year the price it's like just crazy crazy they found the way this is the equivalent for the Williamsburg school but since I required from the school 13. this is Frozen in court as as easy in school is not providing a substantial equivalent education so it's actually by order of the Court was New York City called good afternoon work with the school inspect to see if they are to make a recommendation if there's substantial equivalent point being the point that I'm trying to raise is as the school works with the with the New York City Department of Education they work through the process the city the Educators National politicians using the dimension at the Educators at the Department of Education are satisfied with what they see they recommend the school should be deemed substantially equivalent guide the commissioner in Albany and appointed political hack in zizok I don't like the way the city did it I don't like the way the city did it and I do not deem them substantially equivalent Kim the New York Times is not substantially cool and by the way that's not what the commissioner said the commissioner said she doesn't like the way the city did it therefore she can't say the substantial equivalent So she recommends it so she continue no they should continue working with them with the school with the local with the LSA with the local school authority to continue the pathways has just released regulations you just passed I should say past regulations as if you work with a local school Authority and the local school Authority is good with with this school then you're gonna say that so this is commissioner by the way so how that story landed up in in the times but we deal with the commissioner of this advice McClure coordinated the time story the the the the quote-unquote investigation on yeshivas the commissioner was colluding with the New York Times that that article should pop a few days before they're voting on the regulations regulations is written up weeks if not months in advance by the way they don't meet in the summer months so it's pink as this is going to be on the agenda in September and she well she was she colluded with the times when the article Zol zanga featured we know that for a fact uh zizel basically whom basically media as it should fit her narrative as always and she's passing regulations and and you know no questions asked because look what the new times just wrote wow it's very unfortunate about opinion and says you try to talk to people and it's become all about oh yeshiva's funding it's not about education was yeah yeah come on yeah they're fine so we we uh how do the light of Mars yeah yeah uh we I become comfortable and now we're in don't get me wrong either Philadelphia or Baltimore somewhere there Maryland foreign she's so concerned about what's happening in yeshivas she's so concerned I say that as a Jew I say that as a Jew um School made how the school that wants to enhance their curriculum bring in a professional to upgrade entire books stuff not a poor dollars they should be able to have the tools I don't support religion separation church or state all of a sudden does none of these people are interested in helping our schools this is I care so
