4th of July and Jerusalem?

Here's something nice about 4th of July in Jerusalem. If you type Jerusalem into your GPS, you made up in Israel. But you could also go to Jerusalem Ohio, Jerusalem Oraness, or even Jerusalem, New York. There are at least 18 towns named Jerusalem in America. Why? Let's go to the beginning. The first American didn't just bring guns, they bought the Bible. Sometimes it was the only book they had. As they move west, they named their towns after places from the Bible. Zion, Cananan, Salem, the shortcut of Jerusalem, and Jerusalem. They believed they were the new Israelis running from kings like Pharaoh walking through the desert looking for their own promised land. In 1776, American soldiers wrote on their cannon the verse from the Bible from Exodus 14. The Lord will fight and you shall hold your peace. For them, freedom was not just about government and land came from God. That's why the liberty bell has the verse from Leviticus. Proclaim liberty through all land. That's why Benjamin Franklin wanted Moses on the American Seal, leading people out of slavery with the word rebellions to tyrants and obedience to God.
