3 HOURS IN QATAR (Doha Vlog)

good morning i just landed in doha qatar first time here and i'm so excited i always say i'm so excited but i really am excited so what other words should i say um i'm here for about nine hours stop over on my way to uman for rosh hashanah i'm gonna david chakras now here at the just i'm gonna dive in here in the airport before i head out and then we will hit this city and see what it has to offer what there's a train literally a train just running through the terminal weird okay i'm gonna dive in [Music] so to make a long story short i tried to leave the airport but the immigration authorities told me that i can't leave because the law here is that if you don't have eight hours uh to be out before your flight then you cannot leave was already like it's just only a few minutes under eight hours they didn't let me out um if i would have done chakras later meaning if i would have left the airport as soon as i landed i could have gotten out but i didn't know that so they told me i can't go out but i was able to book a tour of the city through qatar airways which means that now in a few minutes i'm gonna get on a bus and go into the city for three hours and come back and that i am about to do costs about 22 dollars or 75 qatari reels so i'm looking forward to doing that and it's going to be a guided tour so it's pretty simple pretty easy and i get to see the place a little bit that's that see you soon okay so the second time worked better than the first time thank god they let me in this time because i'm going on the tour and we're along with this nice group of people we're gonna be getting on a bus now heading into doha and uh three hour tour of the city i am very very excited is our bus we're on the bus heading to doha the electricity here in qatar is powered by 70 of natural gas 25 of people and only five percent of solar energy last month 2019 designed by award-winning french architect john november and the museum is inspired by the desert rose crystal which is a hundred percent natural sensor found under the ground in desert him okay it is brutally brutally hot i have no idea what the temperature is but you can you can bet it's in the 90s possibly even 100 degrees um we're at sukwaki which is an old trading market uh gonna head in there see what they got to sell hopefully people take credit cards because i don't really have any cash if i'm in the mood of buying anything and also we're gonna see how friendly the locals are because i have no idea what to expect in qatar so let's give it a a run and see what happens so i'm going to shop here sells all the traditional clothing and ceremonial swords some really cool lighters that look like crystals thank you man you're welcome too 500 beautiful a lot of really nice stuff here do you make these you have this made also the pottery yes also in iran yes sir and this is tamil born boxes oh and this is for the pan pretty i love these so cute salt and pepper shakers and you got the the shot glasses michael what's your name my name is tamiya i'm have you ever met a jewish person before you have yeah okay i'm gonna buy this i want uh we are now at dao harbour in doha which is a traditional boat harbor for the dow boats which i'm told originated in africa but they're now mainly used here taking tourists around and behind me right now you can see the qatar's national museum of islamic art was actually built by a famous chinese-american architect and the you see the top of the building there that is supposed to look like a muslim woman wearing a garb with her eyes with her face covered only her eyes showing so you see those windows at the top that's what that symbolizes and uh they have a beautiful skyline it's actually quite a beautiful country and people are quite friendly i wouldn't say i'm not sure they're as friendly as in dubai or abu dhabi but still pretty friendly so i'm feeling very welcomed here as an openly orthodox jew and uh yeah so far i'm enjoying this place so we are at the pearl which is qatar's artificial man-made island and shallow water which used to be used for pearl diving it's a very fancy mall and there are hotels here there are restaurants here there's a lot of shopping very luxurious planned area and this is the last stop on our tour through doha today oh the marina who wants to go to the washroom when you go to the marina wow that is nice so we are now with the doha marina hello the pearl check it out as you can see in the background you got a qatar airlines flight coming in for landing behind those buildings very beautiful people are quite friendly and uh it is very clean something i've noticed about the gulf in general people do not litter here not sure why i mean really i'm not sure why people do it anywhere else in the world but i'm i'm impressed and i think the people here should be commended for treating their cities nicely it's too hot outside i'm getting back inside
