hello this is Chief Rob Lawson of the lakid police department with an important safety message about the upcoming yff I know that many of our residents will be leaving for the holiday and I've scheduled extra patrols around the from communities as well as the shoes Ocean County Sheriff Mike Master Marty is also providing us with Sheriff's officers who will be in town as well if you're going away for the holiday once again the lake would police department will be offering periodic vacation checks of your home we did this in the fall with much success as I believe there were no burglaries during that time if you are interested in this service please call the following number 4578 leave your name and address as well as the date and time that you will be leaving and returning and please leave a contact number as well please contact us by 5:00 p.m. this Thursday if you'd like to take advantage of this service so that we can schedule these home checks please help us to protect your home by ensuring that all of the windows and doors are locked as well as securing any of the vehicles that you're leaving behind make sure that your home looks occupied by putting a few lights on shabas clocks and having someone collect your mail and your newspapers so they don't accumulate additionally leave an emergency contact number with a neighbor the township will be providing peso drop wolf and ketz burning programs uh starting Thursday April 21st at 6:00 a.m. through Friday April 22nd at noon all of these sites are listed on the township websites Lakewood nj.gov the bulk drop off locations are at Patrick Park 1000 Vine Street Sunset Park Sunset Road the old DPW site on 9th Street Forest Avenue between 9th and 10th Street the John Franklin Public Works complex Westgate Hillside Boulevard Frank btof Park which is on broke Brook Road in the parking lot and finally the Lakewood baseball stadium um blue claws the parking lot the ht's burning sites will only be on Friday April 22nd starting at 7:00 a.m. and those locations are the Patrick park again on Vine Street the Frank BTO Park on Brook Road K zicron Yakov 175 Sunset Road parking lot BMG 7th and private way parking lot BMG 9th and Clifton Avenue parking lot and finally the blue CLA Stadium the parking lot there uh we will have crossing guards on hand to assist people at these locations as well as about a dozen other locations in town we will also have the message sign board out on Forest Avenue advising motorists to watch out for pedestrians and giving the times uh for sua Chila which is 10:15 and S be which is 11:35 if you're walking around after Sundown please wear reflective belts so you'll be more visible and safer thank you and have a hog Kasher visak
