While many offerings in the Mishkan were brought for atonement, the Todah was unique. It was brought by those who survived life-threatening situations: • 🚢 Crossing the sea • 🌵 Traveling through the desert • 🏥 Recovering from serious illness • ⛓️ Being released from prison The Lesson: The Todah was designed to force a celebration. By requiring so much food in such a short time, the survivor was encouraged to invite friends, family, and even the poor and widowed to join the feast. In doing so, they wouldn't just eat. They would share the story of the miracle Hashem performed for them. Gratitude isn't meant to be silent, it’s meant to be a communal celebration of Hashem’s endless kindness. #torah #torahportion #parshattzav #parshathashavua #judaism #jewish #jewishwisdom #jewishcontent
