10 YEARS! Then and Now! Thanks for Joining Us

[music] >> The Torah tells us to do shame to you ki kadosh ani Hashem Elokeichem. This time of year we have a mitzvah called the Omer, counting the Omer. The counting, the commentaries explain, the idea behind it is that we are so so excited just can't wait to already receive the Torah and we're literally counting the days. And yet, we make a blessing on each and every counting. Every time we count the day, we make a separate blessing. What does that show us? It shows us one thing. It shows us that we appreciate that one small step. We have 49 days between day one and Shavuot and each and every day is a commandment. Each and every day is a blessing because we appreciate the process, the small steps, the drop by drop, not only the final big result. So, I had the big zechut, the merit, 10 years ago, literally 10 years ago, to be invited by my good friend Reb Aaron Dovid who initiated this beautiful idea of Drops of Light, short videos to enhance Jewish feeling, to make us feel stronger, more connected. And it's drop by drop, drops of light. It's a small video over here, another another message over there, and here we are, 1 million [music] views later, 10 years later, we've grown so much baruch Hashem.
