נתניהו חושף: ״הבוקר היה אירוע ביטחוני חמור ביותר״

Citizens of Israel, this morning there was an extremely grave security incident on a flight from Dubai to Israel. Almost all the passengers on the flight were Israelis. During the flight, as they approached the country, one of the pilots stabbed the other, and it seems he tried to crash the plane with everyone on board. I spoke with one of the Israeli passengers. He told me that the plane went into a spin and started to dive. He told me that by some miracle he managed to break into the cockpit with one of the crew members, and together they neutralized the stabbing pilot as he was trying to sabotage the plane's systems. Another flight crew member who was on the plane entered the cockpit and managed to stabilize the aircraft. I salute these heroes who showed resourcefulness and exceptional courage. They saved many lives. They prevented a heavy disaster. The plane landed safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia. All passengers are out of danger. The stabbing pilot has been arrested and is currently being interrogated by the Saudi authorities. We are in constant contact with the relevant authorities to ensure the continued safety of the passengers and to ensure their swift return home. I have instructed the security services to prepare for other potential threats. We are holding ongoing situation assessments and will update you as developments occur.
