My grandfather used to say that just like when a child plays in the mud, the mother brings him home, scrubs off the mud, gives him a warm bath, and then wraps him around in a towel. In the same way, Hashem brings us Yom Kippur, he he scrubs off all the mud, and then Sukkos, he wraps us around with the sukka and comforts us.
