NYC Comptroller Mark Levine is putting $300 million in pension money toward addressing the city’s housing shortage.
The investment is part of Levine’s broader plan to direct $4 billion in city pension funds toward housing over four years. The first $300 million is expected to help finance 10,000 proposed and existing apartments across NYC.
AI could cut construction costs by up to 20% and project timelines by up to 25%.
