A 59-year-old woman was found dead with a head injury inside a Brooklyn apartment building Monday morning.
The woman’s lifeless body was found inside a building on 79th St. near Third Ave. in Bay Ridge around 9:30 a.m.
Trauma to the woman’s head was apparent on her remains, but it was not immediately clear how she was injured. Her name is being withheld pending family notification.
The city’s Medical Examiner will determine the woman’s cause of death.

A 17-year-old student was stabbed outside the William H. Taft Educational Campus on Monday morning, police said

The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. on East 172nd Street near Sheridan Avenue in the Bronx .
The victim was walking to school when he was approached by two or three male suspects. One punched him in the face, and another stabbed him once in the buttocks, according to the NYPD.
The suspects fled northbound on Sheridan Avenue. The teenager was taken to a hospital in stable condition and is expected to survive.
One woman is dead after a hit-and-run accident in Harlem on Sunday night.
Officials said a call came in just before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle near Dyckman Street and the Harlem River Drive.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where she later died.
Officials did not yet have a description of the vehicle or the driver. The victim had not yet been identified.
A 17-year-old was taken to the hospital after being shot in the chest and arm in Far Rockaway Queens, police say.
Police say it happened just after 9:30 pm Sunday on Beach 43rd Street and Beach Channel Drive.

A fan ran onto the field during the seventh inning Sunday night, September 13, during the Yankees-Mets Subway Series game at Yankee Stadium, waving a Palestinian flag on the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
The fan entered from the left-field seats and sprinted toward center field before being quickly tackled and detained by stadium security.
