The End of Chase Points?!

Your points must be in your grandfathered Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card by 10/25 to get the best of both worlds. That includes the minimum grandfathered value of 1.5 cents for all travel or the new value of up to 2 cents with Points Boost. The points in there by that date will get the minimum grandfathered value through 10/26/27. Alternatively, you can move points to your grandfathered Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card by 10/25 to get the minimum grandfathered value of 1.25 cents for all travel or the new value of up to 1.75 cents with Points Boost. Have more than one eligible card? It’s worth considering which cards you will keep open through 10/26/27. Sapphire Reserve cards now have a $795 annual fee and new benefits, though you’ll have to determine if those will make it worth keeping your card active. The card has added new benefits since the relaunch, and Chase Sapphire Lounges now have hot kosher meals available. But if you plan on closing your Sapphire Reserve card, consider moving the points to Sapphire Preferred or Ink Preferred to have them grandfathered there. You can combine points between all of your consumer and business Chase Ultimate Rewards cards online or over the phone. That includes cards like the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card, the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card, and the Chase Freedom Unlimited® Card. You can call to link cards with someone else in your household and transfer points between your cards as well. You can also transfer points on Ink cards to another partial owner of the company. After 10/26, points will be redeemed on a FIFO (first in, first out) basis, so you may want to keep newly earned points on another card in order to preserve grandfathered points.
