(Exodus 16:4-36) ParShat HaManna with English Transliteration: http://yadlachim.org/?CategoryID=201&ArticleID=793 Rabbi Yaron Reuven explains that Shabbat is the foundation of emuna, or faith in HaShem. He uses the example of the manna bread, given by HaShem to the Israelites in the desert. HaShem provided them with a double portion on Friday so they wouldn't need to collect food on Shabbat. However, some people lacked emuna and went out to collect food on Shabbat, disobeying HaShem's command. Rabbi Reuven highlights that keeping Shabbat is crucial for receiving blessings, including parnassa (livelihood). He emphasizes the importance of refraining from activities that violate Shabbat, such as driving, watching TV, and working. He recommends starting with small steps and gradually increasing Shabbat observance. Reading the story of the manna bread in Exodus chapter 16 every day is said to be particularly beneficial for parnassa. To Donate and Support our Kiruv work please visit us at www.BeEzratHaShem.org.
