Rabbi Yaron Reuven is discussing the importance of leaving behind false gods, especially the false god of money. He explains that HaShem is the only true God and that we should not worship money or material possessions. He uses the example of a mezuzah, saying that we should not go cheap on a mezuzah because it is a protection for our souls and families. He warns that if we are too focused on material things, we will lose sight of the spiritual world and have a hard time connecting with HaShem. He explains that donating money publicly is not the best way to gain reward, and that HaShem will take away our material possessions before the coming of the Messiah. He encourages us to use money as a tool and not worship it, reminding us that it can be easily taken away. Rabbi Reuven concludes by saying that we need to be lights in darkness and help others to understand the true meaning of spirituality.
