Sanitation Truck Catches Fire Overnight on 13th Ave

A DSNY sanitation truck caught fire overnight at the corner of 13th Avenue and 42nd Street, prompting a swift response from the FDNY. The fire broke out while the truck was on its route, causing the garbage it was carrying to ignite. Firefighters arrived quickly and safely extinguished the flames before they could spread further or cause additional damage. Due to the fire, a large amount of garbage spilled onto the street.
