Not Your Typical Thanksgiving Dinner

This was not your typical Thanksgiving Dinner...It was so much MORE! Thanksgiving is a time where most people are celebrating with family and friends at home, but for those who do not have a home, well, it can be quite lonely - especially around the holiday season. Homeless - Most people focus on the second half of the word "less", focusing on the things those who are experiencing homelessness don't have or the difference between themselves and other. However, I like to focus on the first part of the word, "home" - we all deserve to experience the feeling of home - warmth, connection and community. The feelings of being seen and heard. That is what I created this past thanksgiving with my dear friends at B9 and BREADBERRY - a safe place where people who experienced homelessness, shelters or who are in transition to come and experience the feeling of home.
