Flying Hope: Using Helicopters to transform Cancer Care for Pediatric Patients in Israel's Periphery
United Hatzalah, in collaboration with Lahak Aviation and Sheba’s Safra Children’s Hospital, initiated a groundbreaking pilot project to address the challenges faced by cancer patients living in the periphery of Israel. The project aims to provide faster and more efficient medical treatment to oncology patients residing in remote areas, where the closest hospital can be several hours away. Raaya Geller, a 16-year-old bone cancer patient from Hispin, shared her experiences of enduring lengthy journeys to the hospital for treatments and appointments. While the project is still in its testing phase, the organization aims to make it a permanent solution. In order to do so we need your help.
