Rambam: Vaccination Through Torah

The Rebbe’s spiritual antidote to a very physical malady. As the world reels from the impact of COVID-19 and billions take urgent measures to ensure their health and well-being, the Jewish people turn to Torah for guidance. Torah commands us to follow the guidelines of medical professionals. At the same time, it provides us with specific spiritual measures to protect our safety and well-being. In this 1986 address, the Rebbe suggests a method to preemptively immunize against illness. The Rebbe launched a campaign to promote study of Maimonides’ compendium of Jewish law, Mishneh Torah.
