The Hidden Message of Purim That Changes Everything
LEARN how to answer anyone’s questions — including your own. Learn the full framework in the LIVE COURSE: https://soulwords.org/how 📅 Course starts March 16 What does a hamantash actually represent? On Purim, we eat this simple triangular pastry. Some say the shape comes from Haman’s hat. But when you break it open, you discover something hidden inside — the filling. That’s the entire message of Purim. The story of Megillat Esther is a story of intrigue: a king, a Jew-hating minister bent on annihilation, a queen who hides her identity and then risks everything to save her people. It’s dramatic, political, even chaotic. And yet one thing is missing from the entire book: God’s name. Megillat Esther is the only book of the Bible that doesn’t explicitly mention God. Because Purim isn’t a story of open miracles. There’s no splitting of the sea. No suspension of nature. Everything unfolds through “natural” events. And yet somehow, it all works out. The entire story takes place in exile — a time when God seems hidden. When the Temple is destroyed. When prophecy has ceased. When it looks like heaven is silent. So where is God? The answer of Purim is this: when it looks like God is nowhere to be found, He is working undercover, deep within the confines of nature. Just like the filling inside the hamantash. Life can look like random dough on the outside. Ordinary. Painful. Confusing. But when you “break it open,” you begin to see that nothing is random. The situation that “worked itself out.” The shift you didn’t expect. The resolution that came naturally. Who do you think worked it out? That too is a miracle — the hidden miracle. The hidden divine. The hidden filling of your life. Have a happy Purim. And enjoy your Hamentaschen. #Purim #HiddenMiracles #MegillatEsther #DivineProvidence #NothingIsRandom
