Their only objective is to help keep their old customs alive. But surviving is not enough for us. Our community never stops thriving. Never stops looking one step ahead. Never stops engaging the children, the teens, and the adults of our community in deep and meaningful activities throughout the year. We never stop never stopping 🙂 No matter how much we’ve grown, we are always just getting started. No matter how established our image, we are chasing bigger, bolder things. We think of Mishkan Mordechai as: "סולם מוצב ארצה וראשו מגיע השמימה" Sure, we are anchored in our Sephardic roots. Of course, our feet are planted on firm ground. But there’s always another rung in the ladder we can climb. Always a new height we can reach. Always something greater and more ambitious we can undertake and achieve. Our Purim double-time neon night party drew in 60 teens. Next up we want to reach twice that number. Our from-shechita-to-the-grill Shechita Tour enlightened dozens of baalei batim in a fun, immersive, communal way. Next up are tours in Tefillin, Sofrout, Eruvin, Brit Milah, Sha’atnez and more. Our Avot Ubanim and prize shop program engages and inspires 40 children and counting. Next up is getting every single child to participate. Our Halacha gatherings on winter Friday nights started strong and will return stronger. Next up is turning it into every teen’s weekly favorite. Our start-’em-young Piyutim Program makes the average Tuesday a showcase to our kids’ and their connection point to their heritage. Next up is exploring our roots even deeper. The list goes on and on and on. Because we ALWAYS have something new and meaningful in the waiting. The Objective Raise funds to raise our community’s capacity. We want to do so much more for so many more members. From better programming for locals to stronger infrastructure for Olim, we want to turn Mishkan Mordechai up to 11. It begins with raising funds for our annual budget, activity expansion, and our new caravan facility, designed to host the spiritual and communal needs of our members. But we won’t stop there. We’ll keep building. Every dollar we raise will be invested into the future of Mishkan Mordechai, creating a growth cycle that brings in new members and new potential supporters. We are not just raising funds once. We are creating a platform to engage our community and donors long term. The Big Idea “Next: Up” Mishkan Mordechai will come into its own as a dynamic, forever-evolving community. An active, living, growing ecosystem of: ● Families and facilities ● Amenities and opportunities ● Infrastructure and information At Mishkan Mordechai, there’s always something happening. Something new in the air. Something exciting that’s next:UP. If our past shows anything, it’s that our future will be even brighter.
