Rabbi Zev Segal - Behind the Sharon Miracle

After the first El Al plane was hijacked to Algiers, the story began to circulate of the Rebbe's advice to Ariel Sharon not to board that flight. Rabbi Zev Segal decided to corroborate the story with the Rebbe himself. Rabbi Segal was the Rabbi of Young Israel of Newark congregation for over 40 years. In the late 1960s, he served as the President of the Rabbinical Council of America. He frequently met with the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson of righteous memory, about issues confronting the Jewish communities across the world.
