United Hatzalah Ambulances sent to IDF

On the horrific morning of October 7, an instant collaboration between United Hatzalah and the IDF emerged. Dozens of United Hatzalah volunteers who were first to arrive attached themselves to IDF soldiers and – although most had no combat experience -- rescued the wounded under fire. The IDF, faced with inadequate manpower and medical supplies, depended on United Hatzalah volunteers to treat and evacuate victims to hospitals. Now, as the IDF prepares for the next phase of the war, they have asked for our continued support. There is a critical shortage of ambulances, and the IDF needs us to help fill the gap. We are honored that the partnership borne out of necessity two weeks ago in the South has continued to solidify. Yesterday, United Hatzalah brought five fully-equipped ambulances to a military base and turned the keys over to the IDF medical corps. All of us at United Hatzalah are proud to play a role in readying our country for the dangerous days that lie ahead. Our volunteers will continue to stand by to respond to emergencies among the civilian population throughout Israel, while several of our ambulances stand by to rescue injured soldiers. We are stepping up our efforts to purchase new ambulances to replace those we have given to the army. We are United with the IDF.
