The Battles We Don’t See | Parshas Va’eira
Have you ever put on a strong face, while inside you felt like everything was falling apart? In this week’s Parshah, Moshe comes to tell the Jewish people that Hashem is going to take them out… and they can’t even hear it - their spirits were crushed. Sometimes that’s what pain and trauma can do to a person. This doesn’t make you careless, it makes you tired… and the Torah understood that. This week we’re mourning Joshua “Josh” Boone z”l - a lone soldier who volunteered to serve in the IDF. Someone who showed up for people, again and again. After his service ended, the war inside him didn’t. Trauma, PTSD, and pain can keep going long after the uniform comes off. And too often, it’s invisible - or brushed off - until it’s too late. If you’re carrying more than people realize, please don’t do it alone. Reach out. Talk to someone. Let yourself be helped. Good Shabbos 🤍
