On Sunday February 7, 2016, men and women showed up to an inspiring lecture by R' Aharon Walkin on "The Secret to Happiness." The event was held in the Beth Gavriel Community Center in Forest Hills, Queens. HaRav Walkin is widely regarded as one of the foremost authorities on Torah and Jewish Law in the entire New York area. A descendant of an illustrious rabbinic family, HaRav Walkin served for many years as Rosh Yeshiva (Dean) of the Ohel Simcha Yeshiva in Queens. He is considered one of the foremost disciples of many of the modern era’s greatest Torah giants including HaRav Yisroel Belsky, ztl, HaRav Dovid Feinstein, shlita, HaRav Avrohom Pam, ztl, and HaRav Shmuel Berenbaum, ztl. HaRav Walkin currently resides in Lakewood, NJ where he operates and maintains two Batei Medrash.
