From the legendary efforts of her great-grandfather Mordechai Yoel during World War I to her grandfather Dovber Menachem Mendel's strategic contributions and her father's fundraising missions on behalf of Colel Chabad in the 1960s, Rochel’s family has played a pivotal role in supporting this vital organization. Her own contributions, along with those of her late husband Eliyahu Akiva, furthered Colel Chabad's mission in Toronto during the 1980s. Today, Rochel’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren continue her legacy, ensuring that Colel Chabad's work endures.
