Robbery Ring Busted in Boro Park Thanks to Shomrim and NYPD Teamwork

On July 2, Boro Park Shomrim helped bring down a two-man robbery crew targeting people leaving check-cashing stores. The suspects used a sneaky tactic — slashing victims’ tires before they exited, then stealing the cash once the victims were distracted. After receiving multiple reports, Shomrim’s IT team tracked their moves, and volunteers caught the suspects in the act. With the NYPD 66th Precinct responding quickly, both men were taken into custody. A great outcome for the community — and a reminder of the power of teamwork and vigilance.
