R' Avraham Nissanian on "Marriage and Rosh Hashana"

Rabbi Avraham Nissanian, was born in Shiraz, Iran and grew up in Israel. He served as an officer for the Israel Defense Forces (צה"ל) during the Yom Kippur War. Rabbi Nissanian came to America and married Siporah Simantov, who was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Rabbi Avraham Nissanian got his סמיכה the Rabbinical ordain from Rabbi Avrohom Zvi Halevi Wosner the son of Rabbi Moshe Yehuda Wosner and the grandson of the Posek Hador Rabbi Shmeul Halevi Wosner in Yerushalaim the author of "Shevet HaLevi". The Nissanians do Kiruv activities in the Israeli, Persian and Bukharian communities in Queens, New York and founded Eshel Avraham Organization, an outreach foundation that with live and recorded Torah lectures and through tens of thousands of CDs and cassettes is reaching and inspiring Jewish people throughout the world. The rabbi is known for his strong approach of “reach out and touch” those who were distanced from Torah and Judaism, bringing and drawing straying Jews back to their rich heritage. Rabbi Avraham Nissanian is an inspirational speaker who regularly lectures to diverse crowds a wide variety of topics. He is also a Certified Shalom Bayit Coach, meeting life's challenges of marital and family harmony in a Torah based approach. Rabbi Nissanian is beloved and respected as a dynamic, creative and caring spiritual leader and is the Mara D’Atra of the illustrious Congregation Shaare Tova, a large Orthodox community in Kew Gardens, Queens, New York. Since taking the helm at Shaare Tova, he has managed to unify the multitude of communities there, bringing together Israeli, Persian and Bukharian congregants. In 13th day of Tishrie 5763 the Nissanians suffered the heartbreaking loss of their oldest son Yaeer-Netzer A”H in a car accident. Not allowing this tragedy to overwhelm them, they worked through their grief and emerged even stronger in their efforts for the Klal Israel. Indeed, the entire family is active within Chai Lifeline as volunteer bereavement consultants, helping others through similar tragedies.
