United Hatzalah, in collaboration with Lahak Aviation and Sheba’s Safra Children’s Hospital, initiated a groundbreaking pilot project to address the challenges faced by cancer patients living in the periphery of Israel. The project aims to provide faster and more efficient medical treatment to oncology patients residing in remote areas, where the closest hospital can be several hours away. Keren and Ayala Nachmias, a mother and daughter, were both diagnosed with cancer just a few months apart. Ayala (age 9) suffers from kidney cancer. The family lives in the southern town of Dimona located in the Negev region. The entire family shared their experiences of having to endure lengthy journeys to the hospital for treatments and appointments. While the project is still in its testing phase, the organization aims to make it a permanent solution. In order to do so we need your help.
