IVDU TAKES HOME FIRST PLACE! ๐ฅ
At this year's CIJE Innovation Day competition, Ivdu boys school won first place for the "Engineering for School" category. ๐ฅ ๐ Comment congrats ๐ and we'll send you the full video! This was IVDU's first time entering the competition and the first time a Special Ed school competed in Innovation Day. Their creation, the Campus Communicator, was one of over 500 prototypes presented at Innovation Day. The project solves a common challenge encountered in most schools, where students and staff are frequently disrupted by intercom announcements. Resembling a pager and built into students' desks, the equipment operates independently of Wi-Fi - protecting it from being hacked, and freeing schools from having to grant students internet access. Ivou, a division of our Yachad department, is a special education school that provides boys and girls from ages kindergarten - 21 with mild-to-moderate learning, social, and development delays with the education and resources they need to help them thrive.
