Do You Need to Have 4 Cups of Wine at the Seder?

One of the most memorable facets of the Passover Seder is the requirement to have 4 cups of wine. But is it actually necessary to drink wine for all of them? And if so, what percentage of alcohol is acceptable to still be considered wine?
