David Frankel at the Piano: Caring for Others

A little composition dedicated to the experience of caring deeply for others. Caring for others is a delicate art. Sensitive care considers whether to act or not, what to say and what not to say, trying not to overstep the boundary from caring to controlling, or from helping to pleasing. As we sit and reflect, we realize that we’re engaging in the most human of behaviors—caring so deeply that we question ourselves again and again, forcing ourselves to respond or to withdraw. I can’t help but think that the people we care for would be ever so glad to realise just how deeply and frequently we think about them. #piano
